Hi All,

We are finalizing Trumpeter ally's new kit 1/200 IJN Mikasa set.
Now 90% of design has been finished.
We try to release by August 2016.

Anyway this set will have contents as

1. Wooden deck.
We are drawing to realize over 99.9% plank lines of real Mikasa deck shape.

2. Turned brass parts:
All possible turned brass parts will be included...
Precise 12in and all barrels will be included.
Bitts, some Capstans, Mast/Yard sets Flag staff and so on as Pontos standards.

3. Photo Etching parts
We don't mind the cost of PE.

4. Resin.
Some for odd hapes of kit parts, Etc.

5. Dry Transfer decal
Water draft marks

6. Etc.
With these sets, we try to do you need not buy other material as few as possible.
So some more materials may be added.

Keep your eyes on this Thread.

If you have any suggestion or advice, please post and leave message on this thread.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

Maybe the first 1/200 ship I will make by exception ...

Kim,

Please be aware about some details at the ship. For example, your 1/350 set you included rings around the funnels as PE parts. These rings were not given before 1908 on the ship. :eyebrows:

P.S.
A little bit off topic, but because same age of ships ... is there any chance that Pontos will do a set for the Trumpeter 1/350 Tsesarevich?
Until now has no one done any set for ... only a brass gun barrel set and wooden deck set are existing ... and this ship really crys for some "Pontos Improvements". :wave_1:

Hello,
I was wondering if the funnel rings could be included as an option? I was actually really looking forward to having them for a 1/200 scale build.

Also, I have a Trumpeter 1/350 Tsesarevich on the ways as well, and agree that it would be great project.

Thanks.

Hi Kim, would there be a delay in the production ? Looks the set is not released yet.

Regards,

Douglas

Received my set early in December. I can confirm that it is worth waiting for. Although, It costs an arm and a leg. The set also contains eyebrows & brass propellers, not shown on above pictures. However, I am not sure that I have the right skill to install the eyebrows and other small items. On the other hand, it offers the possibility to create an outstanding exhibition piece.

We've now got one of these in stock. It looks really rather good, but that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's seen Pontos Model products before :)
