Photos on the Trumpeter&HobbyBoss facebook page from their stand at the Nuremberg Toy Fair included one of box art for a 1/350 scale USS Alaska CB-1 and tagged as 'coming soon'.

Any idea what the details of the Revell 1/72nd "Technik" Flower Corvette are ?

Obviously light(s) in the hull, navigation and searchlights and ??????

I assume it is (YET) another incarnation of the Matchbox mould, now nearly 40 years old (1979).

And it looks like Hobby Boss is maximizing their 1/200 Merit Mikasa CAD to produce a 1/350 competitor to the Hasegawa one. Fit seems to be pre-RussoJapanese War, when she had the cowl vents.

Edit: Nevermind - it's a misprint on their placard. The product number indicates 82002, matching the 1/200 1902 kit coming out soon.

I would suspect that that is the 200 scale one mislabelled. It is longer then the SU-34 Box one shelf below - and that box is big, somewhat larger then the size of the Zvezda's Gangut or Dreadnought box

Ah you're right - looking closer at the serial number, it matches the one for their upcoming 1/200 1902 kit.

I hope to be in Nurnberg tomorrow (my flu got better just in time), and will try to take more photos of ships. I have meetings with Flyhawk, and with ARK Models there. With some luck, I could see some their new kits!

ARK actually wanted to present their "premium" 1:400 Aurora cruiser kit. It is the old Heller-made-Russia-produced plastics (which was not really bad in fact), and replacing most details with PE and resin parts to match the "as now" state.

Some nice close-ups of that Lord Nelson would be much appreciated, thank you.

Cheers, Jabb.

Any details of Flyhawk models (particularly the Illustrious) would be VERY welcome, thank-you.

(Oh ! And remind them that County class cruisers are beautiful.)

IPMS Deutschland has published the first draft of their list of Nuremberg announcements:

http://ipmsdeutschland.de/Ausstellungen/Nuernberg2017/Nuernberg_2017.html

What stands out for me is the return of Revell's 1/144 Fletcher in a platinum edition and Prince of Wales and Duke of York in 1/700 from Flyhawk. The only other from Flyhawk included is the Konigsberg. No sign of the many others in their catalog so far, but the list will change over the coming weeks.

I see Zvezda 1/350 Poltava in that list, but I don't see it on the list Timmy maintains on the first page of this thread. Is that a new kit?

**edit - it's listed as Aug 2017 release on Hannants

Good catch, Tim - not sure if I want to include it until I get more information as to its configuration (i.e. is it different enough from the existing Marat and Gangut kits to merit a new entry).

I was at Nurnberg today, and made some shooting of the new ship kits. From the highlights, a test build of Graf Zepellin at Trumpeter, Junyo from Hasegawa, several other Kongo-class ships from Kajika. Also the new Academy Missouri in 1:700 was quite nice. And many more of course. Quite interesting is a wood and metal kit of USS Maine from some smaller spanish company (I need to find its name in my notes ;) ) in 1:130. In the wooden kits, Artesania Latina would release a galeon kit with complete interior before Christmas.

Regarding the news, ICM confirmed to release all 4 Koenig-class ships over the year, and then see how they sell. If they sell well, they will do more - so go buy them - they look decent!

One of the Trumpeter guys also told me about a veeery big huge 200 scale Yamato coming way too soon for my budget ;) But its a secret, dont tell yet, so tsss!

ARK Model Aurora in 1/400 is limited to 300 pieces with over the half already booked, so go get them! ;)

From Flyhawk, I found out some release dates for new kits - Duke of York and Prince of Wales are to come in may-june, while Illustrious and Koenigsberg are to come september-november. A subject to change of course.

I am uploading photos to my gallery site, it would be available in half a hour or so, and would try to caption, where necessary.

P.S. Upload finished

The list shows Zvezda 9058 as a 1/350 Borei class SSBN. It's the third in the class, Vladimir Monomakh.

box art is here: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/1027199 ... r-monomakh
