edit from Jim B-- I

fumble fingeredly mistakenly deleted accidentally some of Marjinn's post.... :Mad_6:
=============================================================

- How did you make the yards? Did they come from the kit, or did you 'turn' them yourself, or ... ?

- How did you attach the yards to the masts? Simply butt joined with glue, reinforced with some thin rope? Or another way?

- I cannot see on the photo's if you ended up adding the parrel ribs or not?

apologies for late answer Marjinn!!

I used and adapted the generic 1/350 yards from Master-models-- always shortening the longer yards gain some 'meat'...

Nope--far too much loading( and unintentional movement!!! ) with the sails and rigging needed--I attached them with a small double loop of caenis thread and secured
with CA

I intended --and should have done so... but it was all getting a bit crowded at yards and platforms...

I worried it might all get over-scale and look clunky

.... so... decided that in this instance ' less would be more' !! :thumbs_up_1:

Best wishes

JB :wave_1:
....I buy them at three times the speed I build 'em.... will I live long enough to empty my stash...?

Best wishes!-- :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

and do ensure you study all printed materials / plans etc of the ship;

I do "" THINK "" my model- within the confines of scale and knowledge of the vessel ...
is fairly accurate ....
I do hope you can create a build log here also-- that way I can assist IF you need me --I have ALL the books.... :big_grin: :cool_2:

Cheers
