Backround
I build IJN Ships since 1978In the first years I build out oft he box.In the 80th I begining with modificationsIn the 90th I begining the first Models in own work but my work is still simple.
You can see here the Jintsu in state of construction in the Year 1931. I build the Jintsu 1996Unfortunately it is damaged (red arrow) Last year i get the photoetched parts from Fivestar and I planing the build oft he Sendaiclass
I use the hulls from the old Fujimi kits (bought in the year 1984) The rest from the kits are for recycling I would like the JintsuI to get something from the old building receive. but I want to optimize them The Project
I build the 3 cruisers in following state of constuction
Jintsu in 1925 (optimize the old modell)
Sendai 1934
Naka 1944
At first I start with the hulls oft he Jintsu kits. I'll show you the pictures

Part 2
At next the rest oft he middlesection, but first I have to glue the linoleumstructure of the upperdeck. Linoleumstructure -the trick is simple.I make a copy from >basic linoleumstructure < and later I paint this sheet with matt 2k clear coat - the surface is protected at next,I show you the anchor deck and the structures on the hull (bulleyes etc.)
enjoy

Re: IJN Sendai class 1/700
You know, with the proliferation of laser-cut wood decks out there, for all sorts of ship types and classes, for a long time I've been wondering when someone would come up with a similar system for Japanese linoleum decks. Especially considering how tiny the tie-down strips are in-scale in 1/350 and up.
Paper does seem like the proper medium, or possibly decals; linoleum itself is far too thick to do the trick in just about any scale.

Hallo,
Part3
I show here the forecastle plate deck.I make this complete new of the three Sendai's.

I make this with aluminium coil...I pressed the coil of the original antiskidplate from Lion Roar (LE700056)

I build this in a mix with alu coil / Polystyrol (Evergreen...) copperwire and parts from photoetched Lion Roar anchor set (LE700038)

enjoy
