Started another one: New tool Yamato. Could not decide between Pontos and Lion Roar so I didn't! I have about 75 hours in so far. All parts have been removed from sprues, cleaned up and organized. I also did major work on the hull seem based on work I saw here by Koppalakki.

Hi Joe! I'm not a new modeler but I am very new to ship modeling. I have been a member of this board for a few years but rarely post as I don't feel I have anything to add to most threads. I am impressed by the work that everyone has posted in this area of the board. I have to say that when I saw this thread and opened it up, I was blown away. I absolutely love the organization that is going into this build. It is this behind-the-scenes look that a newbie like me can learn from. Like the others, I will be following along. I am looking forward to what you have in store.

Thank you John! Anything I can help you with let me know. By the way, I'm blown away all the time here by these crazy projects the builders post.

Who cares for organization when you can embrace the chaos!

Good luck with your project Joe!

Here is some more progress. When I add brass sheet decking to plastic I like to drill several holes in the plastic to allow the glue to get around. I use thin CA for the laminates.

The turret barbettes were clamped to the waterline divider and glued with thin Tamiya plastic cement. This ensured the deck would sit down properly.
