I am very pleased to be able to announce that our next kit release will be available in the first quarter of next year and will be a 1/350 River class frigate. This will be a full hull resin kit with etched brass and turned brass accessories of a Royal Navy fit frigate. If there is sufficient interest a Royal Canadian Navy fit may also be produced.

Following the standard set by our Algerine class kit, it is CAD designed for maximum accuracy and detail and will be cast to the highest current standards.

All being well another RN subject in both 1/700 and 1/350 will be released in the second half of the year with another subject being planned for the first half of the year at the moment. Our aim is to continue to produce high quality kits of Royal Navy subjects not previously available in kit form, with some accessory sets also planned for next year.

Mike

Any chance this will be released in 1/700 scale?

Please!

Best,

Mike

It's possible, depends on sales of this one first.

There would be really many possibilities for a River class. Beside the typical WW2 ships e.g. the ships converted to survey vessels, the massive French and Danish conversions and for sure also Loch and Bay class frigates...

'If there is sufficient interest a Royal Canadian Navy fit may also be produced'

And how about a Royal Australian Navy fit as well?

Less likely to be honest.

I urge those of you who do 1/350 to buy one so that they'll make it available in the Divine Scale.

I too would love to see this in 1/700. It would be an instant buy for me.

We have had some delays, it will hopefully be available in a couple of months.

Dear Mike:

It would be an extraordinary news if you developed and sold it in 1/700!
:woo_hoo:

Thanks,

John

I have seen a few posts on this site from people whom have received their Starling Models 1/350 River class frigate kits. I searched Starling Models website but I cannot find the kit listed.

Has the kit only been supplied to pre-order customers at this stage? Or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Someone else asked the same on their Facebook, and Starling indicated it should be available on the web store this week: https://www.facebook.com/starlingmodels ... %22R%22%7D

Well you could always send an email and ask?

At present only pre-orders have been sent out with full release scheduled for a few weeks.
