Thanks for posting the Flyhawk blurb. Glad to see Moltke is still on there. I imagine the WW2 stuff will sell way better. It would be nice to see the Moltke get done, so hopefully it will be an '18 release.

I'm in the process of super-detailing Dragon's Bismark (which is pretty good), and the old Tamiya Scharnhorst (which needs a lot of AM but is still not bad) and now Flyhawk announces releases of each. Guess I won't have to bother finishing either of them now. With the extra $'s I spent on AM for each, I could buy both new Flyhawk releases!

It´s great that Flyhawk announced so many new ships. I only wish that they would released the actual models too. HMS Legion was announced back in 2016 and it still has not been released.

Some excellent Flyhawk choices there, the Sydney is a model of what I regard as the prettiest cruiser class ever.

.

And if only Flyhawk were planning to release them in 1/350 scale as well.

Thanks for posting this.
Some nice items there. Is it just me or do Bismarck's turrets look undersized. I hope that is CAD!

Nice Sevastapol you have made Andrew!

An Atlanta? Loving it. Saw the Sydney as well - that is one of those kits that I never thought I'd see in plastic, let alone in 1/350... now if they only did a Brooklyn. Still waiting on Trumpeter's 1/350 Pittsburgh

It would seem that I have been over optimistic on this Atlanta release as I have missed previous releases of this info, with no follow up action. I'd love to be proven correct and for Dragon to start releasing their ship catalogue as seen a while ago.

I notice Flyhawk is starting to mold more detail onto the decks, ie; cable reels, and ammunition boxes. And those ammo boxes don't look as sharp as they used to. Hope Flyhawk is starting to cheap-out on us!

I don't know. I appreciate some people want the absolute maximum in detail but the couple of Flyhawk kits I've built, though undoubtedly impressive in that department, are over-engineered and a pain to build. In some cases a lot of unnecessary part breakdown and effort for very little visible gain. If they're toning that down a bit I'll be happy. There are things on their future releases that I really want and would probably buy anyway, but this will make me dread building them a bit less.

Is it my imagination, or did Fujimi announce a new Chōkai for May?

Sounds like it's a repop, but with some new parts allowing you to portray her in a number of different periods: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10521808

The first Iowa in 1/350 scale! WWII config, too! Perhaps VeryFire will release all four ships? :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Regards,
Aop

"The Big-E" in 1/700 is officially listed on the Trumpeter's website. Good hint from Dick J, probably Santa Cruz appearance.
