The kit instructions indicate a dazzle camouflage scheme but I decided to go with a standard Haze Grey, I think the simpler color scheme makes the detail easier to appreciate at this scale.

That turned out well! interesting subject too. I do not recall seeing a gun configuration like that.

Angeliccypher, according to the information I have, the Phelps was a "destroyer leader," slightly larger than a standard destroyer, so maybe the armament was unusual too. There's some interesting facts in this Steel Navy review of the Admiralty Model Works kit:

Not her original fit. She originally had four 5inch twin gun turrets, but they were single purpose guns, and couldn't be used for AA.
