Reckon you must have power to both elbows at this rate. Looking forward to seeing you and the model. Great stuff!

Thank's Howie
Well as Howie said at the rate I am going, it will at least be much further on than it was a few weeks ago, when I just had the bare hull.
Today, I have really cracked on and manged to get most of the gallery decks fitted and have quite a lot of photo's to show you in this update.
First, I put in a couple of decks for the galleries as shown in these first few photo's
Here you can see one of the decks in position with clamps to hold it secure until the glue dries.
Here you can see the bottom and top deck of the same gallery, fixed in place. The back or inside bulkhead will be fitted much later, so that I can add various fittings, which will make it easy to access.
The next job I tackled, actually comprised of major surgery, to the hull. It is where the main boat galleries are situated. Deans hull, had these in the wrong place, so I decided to remove part of one side so that it could be corrected, then did the same to the opposite side, so that they both now match up, as they should do, going off the official plans.
I also had to make an outrigger for the port side boat crane, as Dean's had only moulded one on the starboard side.
This is the new outrigger, than was made from a block of balsa, then shaped and covered with filler and bonded to the side of the hull. Note that the top part of the hull side has been cut away, this is to set the outrigger at the right position and allow the correct boat stowage openings. This will be corrected later.
These two pieces of wood are shaped to sit on top of the outrigger, which will form the boat crane platforms. The slots allow the whole peice to fit either side of the hull along the bottom edge and thus form the deck of the boat galleries. ( saves having to make two separate peices )
Here you can see one of the peices in place
After I had put these in place, I thought I would take the Vic outside for a breath of fresh air, so I set it up on the patio table for a few outside shots, of the work so far.
And just to finish off this posting, I thought you might like to see some of the fittings that I aquired, when I bought the hull. These are cast in resin, and have yet to be cleaned up and other parts added to them, but I have taken a few photos of three different fittings and where they will be eventually placed.
One of four pairs, of twin 4.5 inch gun turrets
One of four, 40 inch searchlight ( might do away with these and fit working ones, eventually)
On of six, 4 barrel pom pom gun mounting
Overall view of all the hree fittings
Enjoy
