yes I have...I think I've seen and copied all pics just not a deck layout after modification

I'm waiting for the single 40mm AA guns from arsenal and also their railings to finish her....and ....well...i'll just place the secondary AA guns as best as logic goes
She will be pretty much as good as I can to her French modified state.

haven't seen many ...haven't seen any on the web having done the modification of the bridge ..or even the 40mm guns so...

I'm happy to have done so...kind of unique...

as it is also my first real go at a higher standart of modelling..(major modifications, PE railings).I learned a lot of it witch is to me the best part
I have many ships to come lol

If I would do her again...I'd even lime of the front AA gun boards and put PE railings...they are too heavy...but I suppose...the more you do and have done...the more you wanna improove...there is a moment you must say...it will do.
but hey...she's not finished yet...a new challenge to come...the aireal lines....

thought good I'd show how she looks like now, next to her is a german U-boot type IX C/40 I'm doing at same time

for info...all is not yet fixed on thats why middle castle ...say not well placed lol

and looking at her like this....I'm probaly gonna cut a piece from radarfeet so its closer to the base...its too high up

am waiting my guns before I do any more on her...thats why I used what I learned...pe to finish the sub lol

these are the 40 mm guns as received

the same guns ..roughly put together...and posed on ship

so now there are 2 options...or lime away gun protection of heller kit....or modify arcenal gun platform in order to fit in
...probably gonna be first option

looking at this picture...it seems they only had the front screen protection ...not full base as given in arsenal kit...I'll give it a night of sleep lol

so...I decided I'd make modification on the arsenal guns...actualy..on the metal part...reducing the gun base

David...you'd take the full side pannels of and narow a tiny bid the front?(and bottom ...of course)

ok...will do it over some more...got nothing to loose...well...that is..not much..1 arsenal gun lol

ok...did my thing...rather happy with it

now the steps done to do it

and 4 posted on the ship...next step...assemble fully the guns and paint

post just delivered them....they are to my view better quality than the arsenal...realy nice and finely detailed and less cutting/cleaning to do

not yet paint...but gun glued on metal base ....not sure I'm gonna keep the 2 targeters on the barrel...they look out of size
this is how it is on the build sceme of arsenal...maybe placing them lower gives better effect ...below the front protection.

here a little result...know they are not yet fixed...too fragile and I have some more railing work to do...but it gives what it will be

yes, as I said earlier...if I'd do another Marceau...I'd probably lime those walls off.

about the 40MM guns on real Marceau....is probably a screen fixed on the gun higher up...without floor....for me impossible to fix on the guns...too small...the way I did... gives me the best option.
its way less imposing than basic kit, I can still handle it....and it looks ...to me quite alright...way better than the original heller guns...thats for sure

anyway...I'm pretty pleased with the actual result...after all this is for me a learning ship...I know already my next warf....Heller's Admiral Scheer
even though its not over yet...still have to fix more railings, mast and rigs.... name...etc ...small things...but they make a difference.

have I given you the interest of modifying yours like I did?

a little advance..now pic with mast...its starting to look like a real ship

I find this small boat...say very simple...I already cut the bord so opening is wider...now...thingking how I'm gonna modify it to make it resemble the real one stored on starboard

looks already way better...as I didn't find immages of real one...I let my immagination do its work..actualy I took the Venise taxi's as example
think I'm gonna ad a deck window upfront so we have a small font cabin and a rear protected shelter space for transport of VIP's (after all..its about 9m long ..so should be ok)
then...its paint...probably gonna do it full white...any advice?
