Thanks, Mardis! I hope you find the new 3D-printed masts to be much better shaped and detailed than those shown in your photos.

In other news, happy to announce a set of 1/48 scale B-17 Flying Fortress flaps and flap wells is now available for your classic Monogram and Revell kits. The set is composed of just 4 parts, 2 flaps and 2 flap wells, and presents an attractive alternative to photo-etch sets.

Happy to announce nameplates for aircraft and armor subjects have been added to the catalog. There are now more than 600 ready-to-print nameplates for popular ships, submarines, aircraft and armor models available.

Don't see a name you need? Requests for other names are accepted. Please limit new nameplate requests to nameplates you actually intend to buy.

Nameplates feature raised lettering and include a raised, decorative rope border.

Nameplates are available in several real metals (brass, bronze, gold-plated brass, rhodium-plated brass, and silver) as well as inexpensive, paintable acrylic.

Most, but not all, existing designs are sized to compliment 1/48 scale aircraft, 1/35 scale armor, and 1/700 scale ships. They can be enlarged to better compliment other scales upon request.

Happy to announce an accurately shaped and detailed rudder for USS Saratoga CV-3 and USS Lexington CV-2 in 1/350 scale is now available for your Trumpeter 1/350 scale kits. This rudder is very differently shaped than the Trumpeter kits' rudder.

It includes the conspicuous rams used to turn the rudder on the real ships.

Thanks again Steve for the reworked Missouri plate text and size.
In hindsight I should have asked to put an anchor design before the text, but I will ask next time.
I will take some pictures of the rhodium plated brass. :cool_1:

This set of 4 directors represents the late, enclosed Mk.33 gunfire control directors fit to several US Navy classes of heavy and light cruisers:

Pensacola class
New Orleans class (including USS San Francisco)
Northampton class
Portland class (including USS Indianapolis)
Brooklyn class
St. Louis class

Any chance you can make these in 1/700 also, I could use several sets.

I know that, but I wish they sold them in packages of 4 or six without the MK 51, Im trying to finish some Mahan through Benson class DDs. Im also doing some New Orleans class, Brooklyn class, late War Northampton class and Portland class etc which need the directors, but not all the extra MK 51s

Cap'n Morgan,

Ping me at cba@3dmodelparts.com, and I'm sure we can find a way to get rid of those pesky Mk 51's... let me know how many open-top and closed top ones you need, I'll get an X-Acto blade ready.

Hi Matt,

They are a bit differently shaped than those on the cruisers. Most noticeably, the glacis is different. Compare the photos below.

I have not been able to find the correct 5"/38 gunhouse type appropriate for Helena and St. Louis, unfortunately. It does not appear in OP 1112 (Navy's 1945 turret catalog).

Revell 1/96 scale Constitution fans! For those who would like to build the ship as originally armed, from 1798-1802, sets of US Navy Furnace-Hope 24-pounders and Royal Navy 18-pounder and 12-pounder Blomefield-pattern cannons are now available. The Royal Navy guns feature King George monograms.

Link: https://www.model-monkey.com/constitution-96

For those building her as she appeared during the War of 1812, sets of Cecil Iron Works 24-pounders and Columbia Iron Works 32-pounder carronades are already available. If you would like her armed as she was against HMS Guerriere, a single 18-pounder chase gun and carriage can be made available for you. She didn't have that gun when she defeated HMS Java. Commodore Bainbridge had it removed.
