This is the USS Sacramento PG-19 as she appeared on the morning of 12/7/41. She was in the Navy Yard with USS Mugford and USS Jarvis along side her. There are no clear shots of her on that day, only a few glimpses. Here is one glimpse of her.

Through most of her career she was highly recognizable by her very tall stack, but in 1941 she underwent a refit that included lowering her stack by about half the original height.

Here is my attempt at scratch building her.

Sharp looking build. I never realized that she was still active in WW2.

Great build. I love those PG gunboats.

Very nice, Jeff! Pretty soon you'll have the whole Pacific Fleet!

Thanks. Yeah, she was a simple one but a fun one to build. I wish she still had her tall stack when she was at Pearl but I still like her look a lot.

Thanks Martin! Hopefully if I live long enough I'll have that whole fleet. I fear that my age, eyesight and patience for 1/700 kits are working against me so I'm trying to bust out as many PH ships as I can before I have to go exclusively 1/200 scale or bigger!
