Hey folks,

today we´ve started incorporating the items from Black Cat Models into our shop:

Hey guys,

yesterday we got a parcel from a new supplier: YX Model!

They´ve done a couple very nicely 3D printed stud link anchor chains in 1/700, 1/350 and 1/200 scales!!!

They also do some very interesting direction finders in 1/700 and 1/350. These are 3D printed, too.

Cool, you got those 3D printed chains! There were a lot of people asking what the manufacturer means by "ø = 0.25mm" or whatever value: are they talking about with the total width of each link (a), or are they talking about the actual diameter of a "bar" in a link (b)?

Hey folks,

as there is a lot of interest in these wonderful new anchor chains we´ve taken one 1/350 chain for measuring purposes. Take a look at the attached pictures. There is a comparison how it looks like on the 1/350 Knox Class from Orange Hobby and also of the very good packaging.

Dear fellow modellers,

after years of trying, failing, learning and trying again we are now in the fortunate position of being able to announce the first two 3D printed figure sets in 1/350 of SSN Modellbau !!!

With the set "Besatzungsmusterung" scenes can be presented as for example from the movie "Das Boot" in which the crew is mustered on the upper deck in the U-Boat bunker.

Dear fellow modellers,

First of all: thank you very much for all your support during this special year!
Second: we apologize for the delays in shipping to our overseas customers. Shipments to countries outside Europe is still very often not possible.

Because of the pandemia we are facing strange times challenging us. In our main profession the job situation is still very good. In the sparetime we are running the SSN Modellbau Shop and we are doing our best to fullfill all customer´s wishes.
Because of this double load one can imagine that sometimes we´re reaching the borders of the possible especially now when there are no shows and many people have a lot of time for the hobby. In the worst case it can happen that we answer to requests with delay or that orders are not processed as fast as normal.

However, we are working hard to supply you with the best aftermarket items and even enhance our offerings for our beautiful hobby. So there were some additions over the last few months.

Arstit Hobby released some lovely detailed 1/700 resin kits of the famous HMS Victory:

Because of the pandemia most of the modelling shows we planned to attend are cancelled. According to our timetable the next show you can meet us will be the Euro Model Expo in Lingen/Germany in June 2021 followed by the World Model Expo in Veldhoven/The Netherlands in July 2021.
A long time to go and also a long time for creating new modelling products. There are several new things in the final planning stage.

Happy New Year fellow modellers!

With the beginning of the New Year we are happy to announce the launch of a new product: Ankertauminen (contact mines).
These mines can be seen strung on the minerails of WWII ships in many historical pictures. We´ve done the design already many years ago but were never able to produce them – until now!

The latest additions to the shop were Infini´s sets for Trumpeter´s 1/350 Bismarck:

Soon they will launch the big detail set for the most famous German capital ship.

Further on we will constantly stock Black Cat as well as Veteran items. Both stocks were recently filled up.

Because of the pandemia restocking from some other manufacturers is still difficult or just impossible and we all have to be patient until the whole situation is getting better worldwide.

Then we did some minor organisational changes. Shipments to Germany face a little delay because we will get a new contract with DHL. We hope to get all formalities solved during the first week of January so that we can proceed as usual. The shipping costs for German customers aren´t affected by this.

In order to catch the administration efforts caused by small orders for internationl shipments we inaugurated a low order fee for orders with less than EUR 20,- value. This fee is EUR 10,-.

The figures from ION Model, a new manufacturer from Poland, are now available at our store. They are displayed in so called chilled poses which adds extra life to your ship models.

The latest turned brass parts from Master Model are now in stock. They´ve done a very nice job on IGN 8,8cm guns which comes in packs of four in two different styles.

Restock of the formidable anchor chains of YX Model will take more time as previously estimated. Their 3D printer broke down and they are waiting for the spare parts. As soon as the anchor chains are back in stock we´ll let you know.

After a long break we resumed the production of the KFK kit which will be continously be restocked at the shop.
