Looks like a very nice result.

Some very crisp work.

I may have to break my full-hull only rule....unless I can figure out a way to scratch a lower.

I see Hobby Search is also sold out of our IJN No.13-16 battleship kits, too.

We have had distribution in Japan for a year now. The distributor can sell to all of Japan's hobby shops, so you'll see it at Hobby Link Japan and others in due time. We may need to make a few more of these.

I noticed they are all Full Hull!

A few days ago I checked the HobbySearch page, https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/918/0/1, Out of a list of 40 1/700 ship kits on the site, 14 were WL only, 26 were full-hull! I hope Trumpeter takes note that full hull is popular.

Not as popular as you might think. Majority of 1/700 kits are still waterline, as it should be. Full Hull kits will be cut down by more serious modelers. It's the subject matter that makes them desirable and popular in this scale, not the kit format.

Not all people want fake water on the shelf also, you know. Some of us appreciate the whole shape, not 2/3. From design purpose the hulls are so interesting as well. And also not everyone has shelf space to display 1/350 fleet. I find it much more interesting to see full weathered hull models, and they are the ones I always spot in gallery with greatest admiration.

I'm still not doing a lower hull for the Colossus or any of my kits. I'm in charge of that.
