I bought 1/700 resin IJN sandbags, but had a difficult time positioning them about on the superstructure. Part of the reason was their fixed curvature mold. After a visit from an Arts and Crafts store, I ended up finding something that unusually worked - elastic cord beads! I'll use the resin sandbags on the deck. Need to apply black wash and dull coating.

How did I miss this? That's some fine work. I especially love the rigging - really well done!

Great work! Nice and tidy, and everything lines up straight.
Don't squize those side-cutters too hard though...

Thank you!

This one is almost done. Left with the rear gun, some weathering and a couple pilots - and the propeller!
