First time on a forum and first project, no drawings to work from, so I have just used pictures, what ever I can get from the web. I use Autocad for developing 2D to 3D models. The hull will be 3D printed with most of the superstructure cut from PVC foam sheets. Not really sure how accurate/complex the model will be, but here is the start.

Been a while since I posted, here is the latest update.

Starting to work on the main gun (looking at slew/elevation/recoil/sound/smoke puff).

File comment: Maybe jumping the gun here, but I want a missile launching system that work (to some degree) ideally the missiles will be wooden dowel or bamboo.

File comment: This actually works, rubber bands and a timing cam - I now need to learn Arduino to program and make a circuit.

WF,

She's going to be huge! I really like the details you have added so far and will be following this one for sure. Keep up the great work!

Whoa, the work bench shot really gave us perspective! I loved the pool shot but didn’t realize even then how big it was. Nice work on getting the shapes down without drawings. You’ve a real talent there. Going to enjoy watching you build this!

Thank you, it's going to be a long process, all about how much detail I think. Challenging for sure.
Plan is to have:
- working stabilisation system with gyros
- Bow thruster
- main gun with elevation, slew and recoil with puff of smoke - may also put elevation stabilisation on barrel
- working VLS system using Arduino to trigger firing (I have no idea how to program), will use rolled paper missiles
- Working anchor system
- working collision avoidance system (radar/sonar - using ultrasonic senors etc Arduino, a long way off)
- GPS for way points, return to home etc
- cameras and FPV.
I have a lot of room for all this and more as I work through this project.

Wow. If this is your first build, I can't begin to imagine what the next one will look like.

Love the bridge deck and hangar. So crisp.

No real update, hull and superstructure going slowly - sanding and fairing in.
I did get a new resin printer for fine details - just an example here. Always good to have new tech to help with building, just another challenge.
