I've been looking for Aoshima Exeter Limited Edition with corvettes. All seem to be "sold out", "not in stock", or "not available". Did I just miss it, or is it just temporarily out of stock because of Covid? :pout:

Very cool that there is a new Yubari kit! :woo_hoo:

@ drasticplastic: the Exeter special edition with the Flower class corvettes is long sold out. That is not COVID19-related, it was a limited special edition. It is unfortunate that the Flower class corvettes are not available separately.

To bad that Pit-road did not team up with Flyhawk for the Yubari. The Kagero vas great.

Bummer! :pout: It was the corvettes I really wanted! I suppose Aoshima threw out the molds no longer having a use for them! :doh_1: Please, Mr. Flyhawk, after all the British destroyers, how about some nice corvettes?

I have the corvettes, as reviewed on the review forum. I sold the Exeter.

The corvettes are far too good to never be sold again. It was evident from the sprue shape and the brass and the excellent full-colour instructions that a lot of effort had been spent to make them suitable for an independent release. But nothing came.

I'm going to start another thread to try to list 'extras' which came with kits and them disappeared.

I was just about to ask did Flyhawk made molds for this Pit-Road kit too.
Too bad.
I guess Flyhawk spoiled us. :wink_3.gif

No, it'd be the new-mold one released in 2015: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10343419[/quote]

Hum ! Looks in fact much better than the one I have which is the one from last century... :thumbs_up_1:

Ahem, anyone have any news about my old question above?

Haven't found any news I may have missed in forum searches today...

Extremely unlikely. Dorsetshire was a different sub class to Cornwall with a completely different hull.

Not sure if mentioned already (didn't find it however) - the Very Fire's 1/700 USS Missouri is about to be released in a couple of days according to Hobby Easy. Both the standard and Deluxe editions.

Neato, I'll bet getting one for sure. Interesting that the facebook post also mentions that it won't be the only naval kit in 2021 either.

Arktika (Project 22220) is really a great announcement! :thumbs_up_1:

Hope that they will make also an eight times smaller version (1/700).

AFAIK some years ago I saw a 3D rendering of a 1:700 WL Arktika by Combrig on their FB page and I'm still wondering what happened to this project. This was about at the same time as the first rendering of their Lenin, which was issued, but not the Arktika.

Very interesting news about the Arktika. Might just have to get one. Looks great with the Russian flag painted around the superstructure.

I'd love if Zvezda released kits of Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya or Sevastopol in 1/350 as well as Marat. Such unique looking battleships in their latter years.

As far as I remember, the Arktika shown by Combrig was the 1975 completed ship of the Project 10520 (the first ship, which reached the North Pole), whereas the one by Zvezda is the ship completed in 2020 of the Project 22220 (which was also at the North Pole, but the ice was so weak in October 2020 that it was not a real trial for her).

For me, both are very interesting ships.
