Of course the Jewel of the Master, or should I say, from the Master!!
Excellent excellent excellent

It's a 3D painting, is a scaled down real ship and we all turned Big Gulivers!
I bow with admiration and it is a positive inspiration to us, mere apprentices :)

Cheers,
Rui

Yet another benchmark, as normal I would like to see close-ups (yeah even closer then the double click photo's of above) would you ever consider building something like this still in 1-700 but full hull ? And that sea scape, while there is a first rate step by step to follow, I just can't get those blasted swells right, waves are waves at the end of the day, but those swells you do are 1st class. Just one more thing, and before you say ''no'' please, please please have another think about filming a step by step. errrr um anything to begin with, rigging, decant of paint, applying decals, while reading and looking at photo's is great, actually watching as something progresses is quite another. :thumbs_up_1:

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments!

Carnot is now in pride of place in the 'French section' of my wallcase....

I have collated my ramblings and pics into a usable article that will hopefully appear in the gallery under
'whats new' in the near future along with a full spread of finished model pics.

meanwhile....

cheerio

Onwards to the next model....

Hi Jim,
just saw your last picture of Carnot and was wondering if this is a model or the real thing.
At first I thought :thinking:that the superfine rigging and the flags are proving that this cannot be a model, especially not a model in 1/700.
But following back your progress report it becomes clear that you made the impossible possible.
I am deeply expressed and out of further words ... :worship_1:
