That is amazingly clean work. Very nicely done, thanks for the post.

1/350 USS Iowa-class decals

Post by SailorBill »

Well........after seeing the new Pontos 1/350 detail sets for the Iowa-class
battleships, I think it's time for the return of the Dunagain Decals 1/350
Iowa-class battleship decal sheet. Is that at all possible?

Duane Fowler, are you out there?

Yes. Missing items are award ribbons, award letters, specific markings
for weapon launches, US flag for turret top and other nitter-natter
that adds more realism to the model. I asked Hobbydecals (in South
Korea) if they have any intention of doing those kinds of markings.
They said no.

Hi guys.
My first post here. What a great site.
Here is a picture of my Missouri as of end WW11. Scale 1/96 built on a Scale Shipyard hull and using John Haynes Fittings. Was my first model and was built approx 15 years ago.

These next photos show what condition she is now in after a few house moves over the past 3 years.
This is how I cam about this site as was researching on her rebuild which is to redo the deck and add some more deatils.

This is her in her better condition.

I hope to satrt work on her over the Xmas break and should take about a year or so.
Will try and keep you posted.

You know, there must be some bad chemistry, or something, between models and movers. It doesn't seem to matter how big of how small the scale, the ship always seems to need to go into the yard for battle damage repair afterwards.

If you could use it, I have a pdf of the missouri's Booklet of General Plans which is current to January, 1950. There would be some changes from the post war fit but all the 20mm positions are still noted.

USS Missouri kit fans

Post by Hemireg »

Brian Oliver has posted a build of a Missouri that he says is a 1/350 Revell/Germany. I can find no reference online and no listed P/N, does anyone know this kit # ?
