And, I put it hear because it says the following; This item is a ship model kit assembled from parts made of resin, white metal, photo-etched metal and possibly other materials.

The other possible materials must be plastic, I hope
A whopping 3000yen off the price of the original Yamato for the lack of cut-away parts. Now where can I buy the internal parts for 3000 yen please...

Would be very sad if Trumpeter would indeed cancel their 1941 1/700 tennessee class.
Anyone if they do intent to release their 1941 Tennessee if they cancelled their California?

Kind regards,

Henk

Dragon has announced this: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/p ... id=DRA7142 to be released in August. The blurb leads you to believe it's a brand new model, but they also don't use the term "all new-tooled". So I'll wait for a review. :wave_1:

Sounds like the old kit with new parts like the 5"/62. I'm betting they included the stealth housing for the guns even though the change was only the gun itself, not the housing.

Would be nice if they added in the Bushmasters. They even mention it in the description of her armament.

Hope it's not originally a Panda molding. I'm struggling through the Dragon 1/700 Juneau - more than a bit disappointing; and certainly more than a bit of a PITA! Anything replaceable needs replacing!

I noticed a couple site mention a August release date for the Trumpeter USS Texas (TSM-5340 on StevensHobby).

Box art is up for Showcase models 1/350 HMAS Vampire.

Showcase have announced that the first release will be in fact HMS Vendetta as built.

Later releases of the kit will be WWII version with options to build Vampire, Vendetta or Voyager

Agano/Noshiro (builder's choice) in 1/700th from Fujimi.
Not the 4 models in one kit of this class that Gernot spoke of a page or two back; but might that be next?

I see Dragon is re-releasing their "better" 1/700 Arizona: http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/p ... id=DRA7127 Unfortunately no new tooling, or updated parts. Good thing 3Dmodel parts has replacements for most of the ship! Dragon is also re-releasing their 1/350 Laffey as a "new release". As a matter of fact, they're trotting out all their molds - all their "good, bad, and uglies", for another release. Times are getting tough for the old Dragon! :wave_1:

It could also be them finally having some room to transfer their production line from the Disney/Marvel stuff to "real" modeling subjects. I think we should expect news of their new projects fairly soon.

I know there is a test shot of the hull for the Merit JFK. I've seen a distant shot of it in a digital photo, but not enough to see any detail. I fully expect it to be at the Nationals next week.

Here's a test shot from February. It's posted on Merit's Facebook page.

Yes, that's the one I have. I wasn't aware it'd been released to the public. That's the CV-5 hull inside of the JFK hull.

Timmy, the IJN Mogami by Tamiya in 1/700 is not a new kit.

Some shots by Dengeki Hobby magazine from this year's Wonder Festival.

Aoshima's booth had the 1/700 Ryuujou and Akitsumaru shown off in SHS a few months ago, RJ for 2015 but akitsu is pending. Seems both are getting the KC treatment before a regular WL just like Chitose and Mamiya. http://hobby.dengeki.com/news/87237/

Fujimi's booth displays built up models of the 1/700 Agano/Noshiro and the 1/350 NX series Shimakaze; also, chibi-maru Akizuki, Shoukaku, and Zuikaku. http://hobby.dengeki.com/news/87303/

Not too many warship kits but the 55th All Japan Hobby Show (Sept. 2015) is just around the corner.
