Slowly but surely, I have been getting these vents done, one by one. I have also done some work on a couple more of the sponsons' in this area. I didn't care for the kit parts and fabricated my own for a tighter fit. I also scratch built the "bollards" you see on them. Also more hull stiffeners were added. Here are some photos........
I haven't glued them in yet. The hull stiffeners will end up running over a small portion of the corners of these platforms and that is why they are not added yet. I will need to paint this area first before assembling this section. You can see some of the completed vents in this shot as well. Crisp, clean, and attentive. I love what you did with the grating sheet from l'arsenal, I am going to have to get some of that for my stash.

I got burnt out again on the vents and decided to work on something else to take a break. I had saw in Laci's Nimitz build thread he used the anchors from the Tamiya Enterprise kit and modified them for his build for Nimitz. I started wondering how the kit piece faired versus the look of the real anchors for Enterprise and thought maybe they would be fine. Well, after a very short research I found that they would need to be modified for Enterprise as well. THANKS LACI!!! . I've included some photos below of a modified anchor and an original kit anchor. There's also a couple photos showing it installed in the bow. I have also included an actual photo of an Enterprise anchor for reference.

Thanks Nicolas! Thanks Red. I've got more for you to download! I finally finished all of the vents that I had been working on for the port side of the ship and a few on the starboard. I also added the majority of the hull stiffeners to the port side as well. I also did a little re-work to the bow and added a few more things.

I also took some photos of my overall progress so far and pieced together the flight deck, hull, and island. Helps keep my motivated seeing it coming together.

I also really appreciate your effort to explain almost every step that you did in your model.

And if it is also ok for you, I would like to make a request, since I�m planning to make that model, too in future (I have already bought Tamiya Enterprise, its PE, additional airplanes, etc, I just need to improve my modeling skills) could you also kindly show the steps or say hints while you are making the aircrafts (if possible, their weapons, too)

I am glad you are free from the evil grip of those vents and lived to tell about it. I was worried about you, as most modelers shoot themselves in the head halfway thru cutting those holes out. (I almost didn't make it...)
Patience worked off though!!!!! Nice looking scooner, man!!!! One of the nicest ones, ever! keep it up!

even not my area of interest, but when I ever get in temptation to make USS Enterprise too (or same with the USS Nimitz), the "bar" of craftsmanship shown here is very high and simply looking of all is replaced or improved with white plastic sheet, there is a bunch of work necessary or even possible to do!

Uzun, I will do my best to provide photos and the process for building my aircraft . . . if I ever get that far. Thanks again you guys. I just have a short update today. In trying to improve this model to a better representation of the real thing, there is certainly a lot that can be done. Again, due to the inaccuracies of the model itself, especially with the hull; it makes it difficult to make things as accurate as possible without just scratch building the whole hull. Definitely not an area of expertise for me though. Maybe Nigel32, or Red definitely, but not me. So, what I am left with is using a little bit of artistic license and making it as close to visually as possible. That being said, I noticed at the bottom of the elevator supports, there are "bulbous areas that extend down and attach further down the ships hull than what is molded on the model. The first photo shows what I am talking about. The second photo is of the actual ship and how it should look, and the third and fourth show what I have done to try and correct it. Just another one of those inaccuracies I HAD to change.

the work you realized throughout your model, is a school to "know make" I like people who as you , who analyze, that modifies, who taking the time for not botched a project ,under the pretext that there is nothing on the "after market" the evergreen, plastic card, copper wire, PE diverted ,and the project becomes a single model
