Since I got also a Fujimi Nagato and some of the AM items (Lionroar dedicated set and wooden deck) I will use this wonderful build as a reference :)

Nice WIP, Jose :thumbs_up_1:

Regarding the turrets facing to port or not, IMO,it would have been great to let them face to port if some of the gun barrels had a different elevation. As all gun barrels seem to have the same elevation, personally, I would let the front turrets facing bow and the rear ones, stern, but it's only a matter of taste :heh:

Good point those Gilbert and you are right i only wish i could've made those barrels more elevated i just couldn't unless i would've replaced the blastbags with white metal ones oh well i'll stick with the second idea.

thanks fellows!!

Hi Jose

Loving the work to date. I bet the degaussing cable must have driven you mad @ 1/700 scale. I note that you apply a wash to the various stages before you cement in place. This is a tip that I will use in my future builds.

Good luck with the final parts of the build.

cut here, cut over there a good X-blade always does the trick but you know what i really hate, glueing it. i use CA adhesive all the time and i have to be really careful in not making a mess out of the hulls if not i have to sand down whatever mess i made twice as careful i really think i did a pretty good job with this degaussing cable though. these japanese BB are simple all you got are main components hull, fore, middle and aft structures and since i've gotten used to finish them all one at a time why not give them the wash and get the whole thing over with and besides i want to give the wooden deck a mild wash i don't want to over do it so at the sametime i'm being cautious in not ruin it.

what do you think now Gilbert?

Thanks again guys!!!

Remember when i wrote i was having a tiny fit problem with the funnel, well it seems i had it upside down :Oops_1: it's nearly finished now. my next step will be the searchlight towers if i can attach them without making a big mess i'll go head and do so painting these structures in one shot will be a big time saver. i keep worrying about time when i've been on this model for the last 7 months or so  i think its habit.
