Looking good, ASFC, looking good.

20" guns are awesome, remember, I'm planning on doing IJN Dewa any time now, my 6x20" Super Yamato, as part of my "Evolution of the Biggest" plan. Speaking of big guns, I just got the barrels for my G3 yesterday, I opted for Aber Yamato guns, and they fitted nicely into place. I might have thought of contacting Burkhardt and commissioning the barrels, but that's in hindsight, and I'll likely do that whenever I get around to doing the USS Rhode Island.

That s a view of some of the aircraft i m currently building. I will build 80 F/A-18Cs, 24 F/A-18Ds, 20 F-14Ds and 12 A-6Es.
They will equip some of my newer carriers.

ASFC, Gold Rover looks very nice! I always wanted to have a cat myself someday but hearing about them being the *in a low and echoing voice* destroyers of scale models ...I might have to reconsider

Nektarios, looks like no one will dare attempt attacking your carriers with air power like that!

I guess that with 15 Carrier air wings plus the nr of the escort ship no one will.

I had a strong need to do this pimped-out Skywave/Trumpeter modern USS Iowa.

After starting my first modern USS Iowa by Trumpeter, I was too, far into it to go back and add the missing details and to change the incorrect features. So, I finished the less-than-accurate model and traded a Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher for a new Skywave Iowa kit and then started over. The wrong figting top and the wrong wooden deck pattern around #3 16" gun turret really bothered me.

I'm really satisfied with how this second build is turning out. But, I wish that I could have used the JAG 16" turrets that I screwed up. Maybe I'll leave the kit's turrets loose in place, and get some more JAG turrets and some more brass barrels and do them over, too.

I have Tony Bunch to thank for the Iowa class upgrade set by JAG with the 5" turrets, Tomohawk launchers, and CIWS's. It is also Tony Bunch's desire for detail and time period accuracy that has brushed off on to me, through our correspondences.

Carl, That is what makes this hobby such fun... and these boards really help those who are novice builders as guys like Tony Bunch, Kidcurry, GTB-red, etc they have the eye for detail and are willing to help others to become better buiders.
I use to build as a kid & just got back into it about 6 yrs ago and learned about AM detail sets for aircraft & now am venturing into the world of ships. (jumping in with both feet actually)

I for one am learning new things from watching your build as well

No really, it is a superb build , I would have lost my rag by now building something like that.
