That's the kind of advice that I'm looking for. I'm making notes of these in my list.

I'm calling this one finished, for now. A separate water base will come at some future time.

Keep up the great work. It's nice to see the ships of the Navy we were in.

I'm a big fan of your work. All of your ships look great. In another thread I saw your Knox Class frigate and thought...wow, that's his best. But the truth is, I can't really decide and that ought to tell you something about the quality of ships you build.

I've continued progress on my new DML USS Virginia CGN-38 model. The superstructure is only dry fitted, for now.

You always amuse me with every ship you build!

Those CGNs are one of the most elegant warships I've ever seen. It's so amusing how you can finish such tiny little warships so fast, and yet so GOOD!!



I'll see if I can make one myself!

Thank you, Nick! I always appreciate your comments of praise. But, do you mean "amaze" instead of "amuse"? The English language is tricky, isn't it?

Yes, it can be tricky! Especially if the words sound the same or might mean the same. Still, its pretty common among Cebuanos to misuse words

I see you are at the same stage I am at, but with a son graduating and work the model time is shinking now. So, progress is slowing down, but the kit is nice.

The superstructure goes together pretty nicely, doesn't it Robin?

I made the mistake of attaching the superstructure to the main deck after painting the main deck. Now I don't want to putty fill the seam, there, and mess up my paint and decals. This was out of sequence of my other plastic kit builds. With resin kits, you usually don't have to attach the superstructure parts, separately.
With this model I saw the chance to airbrush the main deck without masking the hull. (I painted the hull after the deck by just angling my airbrush from beneath the waterline, thus getting no hull paint on the deck.) I'll remember this next time. I'll have to live with the gap, this time. No contest entries for this one.

Sometimes there is gap to fill and sometime it just fits without the trouble to putty. I dry fit a lot to see if I will get a bad seam or not.
