The Tamiya Junyo isn't that bad, though it's an older mold. And yes the Fujimi Hiyo was already discussed earlier in this thread.Nanond wrote: I really hope Junyo will follow soon

The Hiy? was one of the smaller late-war carriers, was it not? Converted Ocean Liner, or something like that?Nanond wrote:Not sure if this was mentioned before

She was Junyo's sister ship. Medium-size and larger than the Taiyo class CVEs. 25 knots. Converted liner. 53 planes.MatthewB wrote:The Hiy? was one of the smaller late-war carriers, was it not? Converted Ocean Liner, or something like that?Nanond wrote:Not sure if this was mentioned before

You can read more about her on the Hiyo class fans thread.

The Hobby Search website is showing a number of Fujimi 1/350 kits of Japanese ships Haruna, Ise, Kongo, Shokaoku, Zuikaku and Hiryu for 're-release' in December 2016. Can't work out from the Fujimi website (not being a speaker of Japanese and Google/Chrome translators being useless) whether these are retools or just a re-issue of older molds.

One website (Hobby Models) is advertising them as "new tools". Whether that is true or not, I do not know.rotley wrote:The Hobby Search website is showing a number of Fujimi 1/350 kits of Japanese ships Haruna, Ise, Kongo, Shokaoku, Zuikaku and Hiryu for 're-release' in December 2016. The English site of Hobby Search indicates the Fujimi kits are merely re-releases with Premium items included - wooden deck, PE, metal barrels.

Just got an email from Hobbylink Japan saying they were dropping the 1/700 USS Enterprise CVN-65 from their pre-order lists. Looks like they gave up on ever seeing that one in production.

Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
Anyone have any news on the Trumpeter 1/700 Belfast? It says on the first page that the 1942 and 1959 versions were supposed to have been released this year, and 2016 is almost over.
I was checking the new releases section on the Trumpeter page for recent months and the only new stuff coming up seems to be just more armor and aircraft kits.

This is probably my most anticipated kit in a long time. Too bad I will not be able to get it for a little while.rotley wrote:FreeTime Hobbies website has the 1/350 Hobby Boss French Dunkerque Battleship listed for pre-order
