hi dave ,somhow i missed your question on the tower,yes it is very easy to disassemble it takes about 30 sec.And thanks again tom for the info on the pete's.
Something seems to be wrong with the board some of my posts seem not to show up,and some supjects do not seem to update,there seems to be some suggestions but they do nothing

Hi Russ I noticed that . Also there seems to be a some variation on the number of pages ?

Check the main board, they are trying to fix it. If there is an update marked next to the topic and you can't view it, then you have to go down on the page and instead of show posts "Ascend" you have to put "Descend", then it starts with the last post first and then you can see the "hidden" post.

hi guys,i hope this goes thru o.k.here's my small boats all cast in resin, 2 -17 meter,1- 11 meter and 4-9 meter.there is also 2 smaller boats that are not in the pics.as i said before i carved the 17 meter master from balsa ,then put a plug in the mould to make the 11 meter one.the 9 meter ones, the master was a cast metal bought one i made a mould from.the second and third pic shows all the little pieces that are added to the hull.in early 1944 the nagato did not carry her 15 meter boats,in the spot they where there are 4 -triple-25 m.m's. ,two on each side.

Hi Russ Those boats are superb . I must have a go at casting , I've two more boats yet to finish .

thanks dave, casting makes sense only if one has more than two objects to cast because the moulds are tricky to make.i've decided to tackle the funnel area,holy cow?!!*? this is going to be a killer,i have never seen such a jumbled up assortment of angles,kinks and jogs.a quick look and one thinks no problem,then as you look closer reality sets in,there are many things that have to line up with each other and they have to be built seperate and then joined together.this will be the hardest thing i have ever attemped.it will make the pagoda seem normal.

hello all scratch builders and modelers,I am in the process of moving to a new place. it is a new home very nice and it is on a golf course,but my work room will more than likely be out in a garage not to bad as it is heated.there will more than likely not be any updates untill the fall.It is amazing how much model building stuff one ends up with,i hope nothing gets misplaced.i will be checking in from time to time so keep up all your great builds.See you all later

WTG russ With a pond like that in my backyard, I'd be building full hull too.. I think little fleets of 1/700 rc would be cool as hell.. Opposing players maneuver their fleets, connected in line astern by clear fishing line just below their waterlines.. And take turns pegging away at them with pellet guns from the patio, LOL!! Maybe get some zoom pics of the "Shell splashes" or hits with parts flying.. (LOL, yes I destroyed a few models with firecrackers when I was a kid, LOL)

i have not started on nagato yet,hopefully in the fall.these are a few pics that where in my camera that i forgot about,they are of some work around the funnel area.thought i would post them before i lost them ..this area was giving me some grieve,but once i got into it ,it came out not to bad.

hi bernd the red stuff is auto body filler,great stuff,from canadian tire there is 2 kinds don't get the uv stuff

no bernd it is one part called bondo glazing putty,i use it for all my filling,it is easy to work with.at the beginning of this thread there is a pic of all the fillers and stuff i use.
