Looking beautiful, Carl. Looks like she's almost finished too. That was a relatively quick project for you.

Man, could ya slow down a little.

I don't know about the radar on the Tico's for the 5" guns, but I remember Carl was mentioning the FCR on the Burkes as the one that sits up top of the bridge windows. I might just play it abstract and dome it over, but it'd be better, in my perspective, to use something currently operated.

Apparently the SPQ-9 Radar Dome that I require for the integration, the Iowas already have. They also have the SPS-67 radar which is another system used on the Burkes for operations. So, apparently, I have no need of the 5" directors At All. By contrast, I could probably do Something to put an additional track/engage radar on the ship for the 16" guns, but I'm not sure what I could do with it. I'd probably supplant the original directors with the system anyways.

Carl with every new construction you make you add something new. This time you have added the walkways. I guess that in a couple of days you ll finish this kit too and then concentrate on your 1/350 secret project.

A little more Touchup Paint, Some PE, Radars, Rigging, Decals, Boats, yet to go on the McCain.

Those non-skid walkways are hand painted, by the way. No masking. Tried that and it pulled off the paint. Next time, maybe some decal non-skid, instead.

Well, I worked on it three days of the four-day weekend (Thanksgiving Day with family. Maybe a little that night.) and it might have been Tuesday last week that I started.

So, five days and evenings sounds about right, ASFC. (or should I call you Bill, or Frank, or Charlie?)

oo, nice dockyard stuff, Carl. That should help with the slow decline of waterline plates for ya to work with, you could have a small group sitting side-moored together.
