THAT will put the cat amongst the pigeons - two Montanas and the second one (likely) from Flyhawk which have produced the best quality 1/700th kits recently.

The 'Flyhawk' Montana is not strictly by flyhawk. Similar to arrangement of Kajika, a 3rd party is funding and providing the basic 3Ds for the molds. So the only thing you can be sure of is the molding quality but as for how faithful (as it can be for a what-if design) is anyone's guess. Same as Merit/Trumpeter, Gallery/Trumpeter, PitRoad/Trumpeter collaborations. People already raising question about the secondary guns.
A friend of mine told me the Veryfire Montana is the one shown from Flyhawk that it's just being produced by Flyhawk for Veryfire? Anyone know if this is true? I have seen the Veryfire adds on a Chinese site and it looked decent but showed no wood pattern on a plain deck.

There are two different manufacturers. BTW, the Veryfire Montana kit has wooden pattern on deck, but someone said it seems not correct. Some people also doubt that those 3D pictures of Flyhawk Montana may have some problems with molding.

I'm looking at the model info on ebay, I knew I should have waited, but the reason why there isn't any deck detail on the plastic model itself is because it comes with wood decking along with a special PE set for it
I wonder if Five-Star will modify their Pit-Road Akashi PE for this one?

Italeri CVN-70 Carl Vinson re-released with the extra parts added since the CVN-74 & CVN-75 issues, namely the extra sponsons and armament necessary to build it as comissioned (well most of it anyway, still can't technically do it accurately without GMM photo etch for the correct radar mast).
New and more useful decals too.
Please note that Hobby Boss's 1/350 battleship Voltaire, sister ship of the Danton, is already out in North America, since I saw a Voltaire kit available at Imperial Hobbies here in Vancouver today.
There's also multiple Ebay listings of the Voltaire as well.
