Recently purchased some books from "Ex-Navy" AKA Bruce. Fast shipping, packed well, arrived in the stated condition. He couldn't find one of the books when he went to send them so he threw in a set of ship plans instead! He's a real standup guy and I'll definitely deal with him again :thumbs_up_1:

Re: Good Trader Alert: Phanto68.

Post by robertmelvin »

I just completed a transaction with member "Phanto68". I want to let everybody know that you cannot go wrong doing business with this gentleman. I sold him a kit and as soon as we reached an agreement on price he transferred the agreed upon purchase price without delay. To add icing to the cake, after I had sold and shipped the kit I found some after market I had for it and messaged him, telling him I had it. I offered to simply let him have it (it was a set of turned barrels) unless he felt he wanted to trade for it, and left the choice up to him. Rather than take the barrel set for free, as he could have, he sent me a list of items he would be willing to trade for them. He did just happen to have a couple of items I needed and we settled on one as a "swap out" for the barrels. He shipped promptly and in a well protected box.

Guys, you just won't find a better guy to do business with this gentleman. Not only does he do what he says he will do, he does it promptly and goes above and beyond to be fair.

If you ever do a deal with Phanto68 you can trade with the utmost confidence.

Bob Melvin

I recently completed a transaction with member "robertmelvin". I purchased a kit from him which was promptly shipped and arrived safely and as described. Shortly after the initial transaction, he then notified me that he was sending an additional related item with no stings attached that was not included or mentioned in the terms of the original agreement. This was done on his own initiative! There was constant communication and follow up throughout the process until all items had arrived.

Without a doubt one of the best people I have dealt with on this website or elsewhere.

All:
I purchased two kits from Bill and was absolutely astounded as to how quickly I received them and they were both in excellent order, everything he said they were. Bill is a top notch, forthright trader.

Just did a deal with LAE519 for a kit and some printed material. Very quick response and shipping time. The package was excellently wrapped, taped and shipped .
The kit itself was indeed "BETTER" than he made claim to.
This mans integrity is not to be doubted. He understates and delivers more than is expected. Also stays in contact letting you know the status of the deal/trade.
A very pleasurable experience if I do say.
Would most assuredly trade again with him or recommend him to others.

LAE519 thank you sir the pleasure was mine

I want to drop a quick note to the community to praise Martin J Quinn. He was more than helpful in making arrangements for me to acquire his 1/700 scale USS MIDWAY model; to be honest it's been one of the smoothest transactions I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Martin's price was good, and he was very quick to respond to email, and the quality of packaging was outstanding. I received it yesterday, and not a dig or a dent on the goodies inside (though Canada Post is notorious for their attempts to destroy resin kits IMHO).

I'd be happy to deal with Martin again, and would recommend him to anyone who asked me.

A+

Thanks Martin!

Cheers,

Sean
