I have also cut the rounded aft end of the deck off and replaced it with the corrected angled deck. Once the deck is glued on I will finish building the structure underneath.

Here's a couple bow shots. I've sanded down all the raised detail and I plan on going back and adding it in later and try to get everything where it is supposed to be. It is quite a bit of work but I think it will be well worth it in the end.

Thanks you guys. I am still waiting on getting a few more items needed to get further into this build. Hopefully after Christmas. I will post more pics as soon as I can.

Since I am still waiting for a few items before I get going on the hangar deck, I started looking back over parts of the island that I had done and noticed a few things that needed changing after looking through Still motion photographics photo CD of the Enterprise. What an invaluable resource. Tons of great quality photos. I ended up adding the signal flag station on the port side of the island that I had left off and removed some of the piping that should not have been there on the lower portion and replaced it with what should for the 2001 configuration. I'm still getting some of the other stuff worked out. I wish I had bought the Enterprise photo CD sooner. It really helps.

Hi DWD .... a question:
Do you have the exact measurements of platforms that you're absolutely built white plastic on the island (width, depth and height from the flight deck)???

Hey Renato. I will see if I can dig through some of my drawings that I did to illustrate the dimensions. I'm certain they are not absolutely correct though. I based them on dimensions of the Tamiya kit and looking at photos and came up with what "looked right" to me. I actually made pencil drawings of the Tamiya island and based everything off of those. I'm also certain that anyone else who has spent a considerable amount of time building and researching this kit has come to the conclusion that there is quite a bit that can be corrected. Anyway, I will see what I can come up with for you.

Sorry bout the post above, I forgot to log in. Anyway, I hope these help with dimensions. You probably use the metric system in italy I would imagine, but these are listed in inches. . . . sorry. Hope these help. If you have further questions or need other info, just let me know.

Thanks Nicolas, Raverdave, and ArizonaBB39. I appreciate the comments. I'm still waiting to purchase some things from White Ensign models so I can start getting further into this build. Thanks for looking.

yes DWD ... in Italy we use the metric system ... for this I ask: .... one inch to how many cm equal?
