Still plotting along. I am really getting there. "He" takes time and patience but rewards you with extremely good looks (from a pure engineering poitn of view!)

Some more pictures. Only some guns, some details and some slight weathering left to do for me. And then on to the USS Missouri!

Re: Oh well ... another Trumpeter Bismarck 1/200 (Sorry...)
I could not show it in Germany with the flag on bow and stern because the political opinion is that if somebody sees it, he or she turns immediately into a Nazi. Fortunately this medically unsupported theory has no meaning outside of Germany - I live in the United States and there it is no problem at all. As a writer of books about orders and medals of the Third Reich and a historian I learned that denying or covering up history has no effect at all other than making the "cover uppers" look very stupid, especially in the age of the Internet!
:)

Hi Gary,
thanks for the nice words.
Nothing is supporting the extended catapult, just as it was the case with the original.
best regards,
Dietrich

Hi Dietrich,
great model but for a small error, I would like to point you: The color of the underwater hull of the boats was charcoal black and not red!
Cheers!

Hi Dirk,
Thanks! Yes, I found that out later also (was fooled by Kagero and later saw the 1:100 model here: http://www.kbismarck.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1768) and was thinking about changing it. But then I said: "What the heck, it looks great and it is a model anyway!" But black would look good, too ..... maybe I bite the bullet!
