guys help
I don't know how to make PE cable reel with wire.
I haven't done it before and I'm not happy for this
I haven't had any idea how to glue very thin line on the plastic pipe and how to put them in to reel

What I use is piece of plastic rod about the size of a scale full reel of whatever, paint it black, cut it to size and fix it between the reels with CA glud. It has the desired affect. If you want a piece of hose, or line adrift, once the rod is inplace, wrap a piece of thread or preferred stock and have a piece sticking out.
I have tried using a hollow piece of plastic tubing and brass wire to place between the reel ends with little or no success. The above works best for me.
Good Luck.

I'm learning making streaks so I have very improtant question for me
The question is - Where streaks appear in lower hull? I want to make salt streaks and brown streaks but I don't know where they should be?

randomly along the lower hull or in the specific place?

I saw these film many times, Very easy on youtube, but in real life very hard to make, especially for me

. Brush should be wet or dry? Sth is wrong with my "white spirit" when I used it on washing deck everythink was OK, but when I used it on the red lower hull I had white shade in place where I brushed. So I clean all of the hull

Tommorow I will buy the original AK Interactive white spirit and chipping.
So I have another very important question. I'm searching the rust color on the base for chipping and I don't know which it should be
probably I will buy vallejo 70851 bright orange. It will be base for chipping

Unfortunately I can't explain this method better than you see it in the film.
The brush is dry before painting. After painting you have to clean it and dip it into white spirit. Then soften the painted lines with it. Dip the brush into the white spirit as many times as you see that the spirit starts to evaporate from the brush and the brush doesn't soften the paint, but spread it on the surface. Because it means that the brush is dry.
What happened with the hull? What did you try to paint? Just because the white shades means that you used too much spirit. They can appear again even if you use AK white spirit.
Altough I don't use chipping, but if I were you I would use a simple rust color. 1/350 is a bit small scale for chipping,

I don't want to offend you but you wrote that you are a beginner and this is your first ship. Wouldn't it be better to finish this kit as it comes out? You have already done a great job and it can be a nice kit even if you don't try all the modelling techniques right here and now.

For what it is worth, I thought that you had an excellent build up of this kit by your post of July 26, needing only some rigging to make it shelf ready. As Gabor noted above, I was under the impression that you were new to modeling and that this was your first ship. Perhaps you are being too ambitious if you are trying to incorporate as many of the available modeling techniques into just one build, especially your first ship build.
We see so many great, very artistic representations of different ships here on the board, some if not many of them museum quality work, and it is very, very tempting to set your own bar that high your first time out. I fell prey to that mistake myself and suffered a great deal of needless frustration as a result. It takes years and years of practice, as well as a certain intangible gift of talent, to do what some of these folks do. I ultimately came to realize that and that I had to learn to walk before I could run, so I went back to the basics, starting out building essentially out of the box, with some basic PE, then started working on my skill sets to let me to a little more, and a little better each build.
In short, don't feel like you have to cover as many aspects of ship modeling as possible your first time out. You built a good model in my opinion and I'd be pleased to display her on my shelf any time. Give her some rigging and then sit back with a certain sense of satisfaction and enjoy looking at the fruits of your efforts. And, don't focus on the "mistakes" or "flaws" that only you will know exist.
Best wishes,
Bob Melvin

No, this chain is not good. 0.95 mm is for 1/700 kits. Try to get 1,5 or 2 mm chains. Or even 2,5 mm can be good if the shape of the chain is oval enough.

not first, graf spee is fourth, but first in 1:350
first was bismarck (revell), later yamato (tamiya - first with PE) and the last sharnhorst (tamiya - the first painted with airbrush )
I agree with anyone, I shoudn't cleaned the hull and standing, so lets rebuild

Sorry everyone who was disappointed and shocked
I started with standing, in my opinion now is much better rather than older. When I was building the older (black and rust) I haven't had airbrush. This time I used airbrush, gold tamiya and vallejo flat red
I also started rebuild the hull, I covered the deck tamiya xf 78 wooden tan deck
Chipping, is not good in 1:350, maybe I need more practise. So I decited, the lower hull will be without weathering. This time I will use vallejo hull red and flat red. It will be much darker rather than earlier. On the upper hull it will be a few streaks (probably below the anchor only).
next time I will try to build sth difficult and more dirty.

Nice little collection

But let me show you some of my works from the past 25 years:
http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery ... index.html
As you see it doesn't matter if the first few kits are not museum quality pieces. That's why I wrote that you should finish the Graf Spee as it comes out. There is a stage in the building process when it's better to finish the kit than restart. Naturally you have to decide what you want to do, but as Bob noted above, if you always want a "perfect" kit, you'll always be frustrated. Don't want to use all techniques on one kit.

Good work. But this time try not to use too much rust on it
