A few less pieces than the Advanced, but not less headaches. If anything I think the Advanced set made improvements to the callouts in the instructions.
There are quite a few details that do not even get mention in the "Battleship" instructions but are clearly present in the photographs. I looked over the IW, NJ, and WS sets and they are not mentioned there either.

I do like the extra PE plates of the Advanced that give the bulkheads more detail, but I didn't think it was worth the extra $$ it would set me back.
Time will tell if that was a mistake. Getting jealous already!

By the look of it you went ahead and glued the entire deck first thing. My strategy has followed Tamiya's guide more closely and I built and painted the decks in sections allowing me to freely paint and mount the hull to a plank of walnut from the beginning. I am curious to watch your progress as everyone has different building strategies and obstacles to overcome.

Your discone antenna is very impressive.
This is where I am currently and this thing was a SOB. I skipped some of those metal parts for the rafters to connect to and instead just used a bead of gap filling CA glue. Doesn't look nearly as pretty as yours. I did however run wires through those holes from the onset and created tension by pulling and applying a surgical spot of CA. Trying to thread a wire as thin as the fairest maidens hair through that thing resulted many expletives being thrown and three priests knocking at the door.

Well they are pretty simple frames just on top of the containers.
I did order some new ones from infini as I want to make few with the containers open!

And some madness did I get!

The infini set is just unbelievable! Though it's not for the faintest of heart! One launcher is about 100 pieces of PE and the smallest ones are tiny. More like new level of tiny I ever encountered! This will put your dexterity and mental toughness to the test. I spent about 4 hour getting everything as best as I could, there's a few bits I'm not too happy about it but the set comes with 2 launchers so if I feel too unhappy about it I can always make a another one.
