The FIG is coming along quite nicely. :thumbs_up_1:

I still think they should`ve found a Navy or Marine Corps hero by the name of Newton after whom to name one of this class.

UPDATE:

Added what looks like a fire suppression system. The copped lines along the top of the upper deck. At first I thought they were some conduit but, after studying the many photos, I think I see sprinkler heads.

Bob,

The additional details that you are adding are impeccable!

Is it still a secret from your son-in-law?

Thanks Carl,

Yea, still secret, but I've tried to email his wife. I need some photos of Doyles bridge as of now. Some ships have changed the life canisters and the ECM fit.

Your external pipes with the sprinkler heads are part of the contamination wash-down system (or something like that, it's been a while!). Basically an external sprinkler system that was to wash off contaminants after a nuclear or biological attack, before the crew went back onto the weather decks. We used them in the Gulf on the Normandy during fresh water wash-down quite often to get the layers of sand and dust off of the ship.

Hey Devin,

Thanks a ton, the idea of a NBC wash down system never crossed my mind.

Thanks

On Subs, we just held our breath and dunked our heads under the water. And then used a cream rinse. :submarine: :jest:

I guess I should have posted Oriskany's 'wash down' system photos here. Instead, I posted a couple of pics in this post:
