I bet your rigging, a very complete and realistic one by the way, was a nightmare to make

Bravo Zulu from another Fuso "nuts"

cheers

Much obliged Gilbert!

The thing i hate the most is the rigging  it just didn't come out the way i wanted, maybe i could've done a better job but i didn't want to put much stress on the mast. if i had to start all over again because the mast snapped on me i would've been real pissed and yes it was a nightmare. I used stretched sprue and it was by far one of the most tedious riggings i' ve done until now (first time working with it though) this thing is waaaay to brittle :Mad_6:

Yes, Jose, its really nice, its giving me some ideas on the Fuso that I'm currently building. How did you treat the paint colors on the pagoda decks, was it a mix of wood, linoleum, and painted steel??

There was only one level i painted with linoleum color, the rest were painted plain steel color. it's not completely accurate though i really didnt give it much thought of painting other levels, why well you see at this scale sometimes is not even worth the trouble (that's just my idea idea here of course  )

i based all my work on a nice drawing of FUSO i found on my "GAKKEN 30" the artist tried to depict the ship as it was back in 1944. there is no way in saying if it's accurate piece by piece but i didn't have much info to start with and went for it.

half of the pic showing the pagoda structure, i can clearly see some levels with linoleum

Great work Jose, you have inspired me to build one too.
Where did you get the Flyhawk's Takao super set from?

I've gotten Flyhawk stuff from Pacific Front, one of our sponsors.

Thanks again fellows!! Bill from PFH carries the line as a matter of fact i bought this Fuso p.e set from him, you shouldn't have any problems dealing with Mr. Grunner. he is one terrific guy. BTW Martin, thanks for taking your time and bringing my finished model over here, i said moderators before because i didn't know who was it until i read your post on the other side.

Hello,

yes indeed very nice build and amazing kits.

Congretulations Mr. Soca :thumbs_up_1:

I have send you a private message because i have some questions about the Flayhawk-set which you used also on the HighMold Yamashiro.

Perhaps you can give me some suggestions and tips how i can use the brigdewindows from the set for the pagoda mast.

Best regards

Chris

Great job, Jose. Now you need to read A. Tully's new book on Surigao Strait and act it out :-)
