Looks really nice . And you've just overtaken my Kungsholm project so I'm not complaining about your building speed. Doing all those portholes must have been a an awesome effort!

Re: SS Normandie 1:600
The portholes were ....shall we say .... a challenge!
What really have me worried are the rows of windows at and belown the promenade deck ...... which will mean hundreds of small transfers ......
Lots and lots of tea will be required methinks ......

Re: SS Normandie 1:600
Anyone know?
Normandie seems to have had a thin white waterline in her later years.
Does anyone know whether she had this early on in her life........... the pictures I see seem to indicate no white line, just black then red.

This is looking absolutely stunning so far. You have really captured the graceful lines of the ship. Excellent work.
It looks wonderful, I wish I had the talent, skill and patience to pull off such a scratchbuild. More likely, I'll wait around for a resin kit to come out in 1/700.

Patrick,
Quodos to you. This is a beautiful scratch build of my favorite ship. You have a great deal of talent. Keep up the good work. I am in the process of completing a 1/500 scale model of Normandie, kit bashed from the Glenco SS France model. Here is my facebook link to see her from the start to where I am at present. After all the time spent, I feel that scratch building may have been easier. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... f08dc3010c

Re: SS Normandie 1:600
Beautiful work! I usually build model aircraft but have entertained a lifelong love affair with the Normandie and would love to scratchbuild one someday. Could anyone give ma tip on where I might find an accurate set of plans? My internet search so far has turned up a few interesting finds, but no plans. Thanks

Hello,
Let me first tell you that your artwork is beautiful and it's really little more. I would like to know how did you do it on and what are the tools you needed.
good luck for the future.
