Thanks Ron and Norbert for your interest .
Yes the alum incert works good . Never thought to use one on the stern . :doh_1:I am retired now so I do this full time .
The plug was sanded with 60 grit then a coat of resin was sprayed on using a cup-gun .
Today I will sand then prime the hull .

After many hours of sanding, shapping and filling this is what she looks like.
You took a day for work which takes me 3 weeks or so!:O
Great way of showing how to make a hull..
Keep the pictures coming

She will need two more coats .

The T3s had somewhat of a spine at the stern .This photo of Sabine shows it well .
I couldn't carve this into the keel and keep it straight and sharp .The solution was to inlay a .042 wire into the stern .First a grove was cut to accept the wire .
Then the wire was glued into the groove .
Now its time to fine tune the prop shaft housings .

Back again
This is after the fourth coat of primer .
This is the primer I use .It can be sanded and polished to a class A finish .
More sanding and one more coat .
