Hello Okram. First of all, let me say what an exciting and beautiful model you are creating. These were very interesting and historically significant warships. Since I'm currently reading 'Battleship' which is the account of the sinking of POW and Repulse, I can tell you I am primed to follow this build. Excellent work!
As far as the deck goes, what impresses me the most is your method. Plank by plank! I am full of admiration my friend. Very nicely done. I like the color as well. Wooden deck color is a very subjective thing, you know. Some prefer it darker, some lighter, and both have good reasons for stating their case. There are so many variables that go into the color of a deck: wetness of the ship, drying patterns, the amount of care or neglect, service history, theater of operations, time of day, type of wood...you name it... What is clear to me is that the world over there is not 'one' color for wooden decks at sea, but instead an incredible variety. What's most important to me in terms of a model is that
it looks like wood. That's the point as far as I'm concerned. I don't really mind if it's a shade darker or lighter as long as it's not all one shade. That's what bugs me in a model build. Depending on the color scheme I might lighten it up or darken it to help set off other colors on the ship's paint job, but for my 2 cents, it's a beautiful deck. Great job!

Thank you. Increased portholes. Sand deck giving it a final look and color. I think that now looks very similar to the real.

Many years ago I did a similar technique of building the hull. At first all was well but after some months the hull sheeting started to erupt in places. I found out this was a combination of lack of consistent quality in the polystyrene and a bad reaction with the glue used to fix the sheeting. Over the next few months that problem got worse. It reached the point that I could not trust the hull sheeting to get to a point of stability. So it was a model I had to scrap.
Nowadays I use litho to sheet the hull. Litho is thin aluminium sheeting used by printers. It is easily cut and shaped. Being metal it looks more realistic - assuming of course the actual ship is built of metal.

I used polyurethane glue shoemaker. Something similar to this:

I tested earlier and barely tear strength polystyrene. The model builds from January 1 this year, so some time ago and nothing happens, but thanks for your attention. I'll be watching the model. I hope, however, that nothing distraction ))
Fixed hatches and bolts. Hatches done with thinner material. Annoyed me just a little hinges. I had no idea of not doing the paper, but it does not look good. Maybe you have an idea?
I graduated from the hangar and also ribbing now I make pipes and tubes and repaint.
here are some photos.

Work in progress on the model.
I fixed the hinges. On the advice of modelers have done it with aluminum foil.
I made a hangar and part of his equipment and started doing a part of the bow. (sorki but I do not know how is called)
I found a nice material for the blinds to the hangar, of course not blind me to the whole because he covered what I did in the middle))
Here are pics:

Hangar before painting. You can see ladders, pipes and cables.

After painting.

And this element on the bow.

Welcome to the new year and I have a lot of questions right away.
First Are manholes in battleships were generally the same everywhere and that have the same number of bolts. I proceed in the further construction of the superstructure, and I wonder whether in the upper parts were the same manhole. Can be mounted other more simple?
2 When both sides of the principal believes the number 1 on the bow are those round bales. From what this is from a tree or metal, and what does it do?

I have not found a better picture.
Thank you for your answer

A small update.
The front superstructure connected and the filler)) I had to pull the paint to see if everything is smooth and there is no filler. I am personally pleased with her))
Here is the photo pool.

I sat a couple of days, but the makeshift prince has already claws)))
To complete the look still far away. I have a question maybe someone has the data, which could be the diameter of the rivets (pins) mounting armor plate on the main artillery towers. I would like to do an imitation of this riveting, but it will be difficult as the eye.
Here you can view this pic for riveting

Fixed barrel for purchased ready turned out to be too long. In between superstructures sat down to small parts. The first one went vents.
