HI folks

thank you Harpy :thumbs_up_1:
the continuous work by the detailing of the rear deck. to help me find the place of each element, I resized this part of the plan in the "profile morskie No. 26"

Image

so I turned a draft of "drum" of the catapult

Image

and the two parts under the ladders located on each side of the hangar

Image

a view of the first draft

Image

A lot of work waiting for me here
all my portholes were etched (not by me) like that, I can "dress" my hull

Image

a generic model of wooden deck ,from artwox (40cm x150) going to be used ("Big bear", I have not forgotten you  )

Image

three references of U.S. sailors from North Star beings are used, and how to say .... it's just sublime

Image

the poses are beautifully natural ,and promise, with minor modifications, a very good integration in my dio.
I have a lot of work ahead, but not with the extreme heat that is in the Paris region, that I will be many productive :sleepy:
cheers

Without a doubt a masterpiece in the making here!

Sometimes I wish my French ancestors didn't take off for America... then I wouldn't have to work so hard to be artistic! There's gotta be something special in the water over there! :wink_3.gif

Yep, "Channell" is in fact the bastardized version of "Chanel"... and no, I wasn't in Coco's will. :pout:

Apparently my namesake had to "get out of Dodge" in a hurry a couple hundred years ago during one of those times when the wine ran out in France and everyone went bananas. Seriously though, we never were able to discover what the true reason was.

Anyway, several of my family members were very into genealogy and traced the lines back as far as the 1500's in places. Like most Americans, I'm a true Europe mutt... I've got ancestors from France, England, Holland, Germany (before it was Germany, anyway) Spain, Norway, Sweden, Italy (where my great grandmother was from) Denmark, (where my Grandmother is from; she immigrated here after WWII) and possibly Zeta Reticuli Image

Hi everyone

as it does a bit more fresh in Paris, I was finally able to work more than 2:00 .....! for the catapult drum , I had gone on the wrong track, indeed, I make a solidary turn tray with the drum basis , bad pick, it took me disconnected the tray of the drum and create an axis

Image

the base of the catapult is therefore 3 parts

Image

from left to right, the davits of maneuver empty trolley , directional tray
the same Under different angles

Image

Image

davit is a bit askew because it is just laid. details are what they are because given the smallness of the thing ..... a view with a piece of 1 cts gives you the size

Image

I did a test of "integration" on the rear deck (the catapult PE is not good but the right size)
the starboard catapult in working order and and in launching order

Image

and that of portside in working order

Image

and finally in a position to catapult

Image

voila, now I attack the crane ,but problem ..... I do not have much of pictures or plans , so I'll dig my documentation and dissect every pics in search of the slightest view
cheers

Hello folks

After one week of research, and especially thanks to plans of the friend "Big Bear" who had info-graphically draw the plan, according to the original plans, the Degrasse, with the overlap of various photographic sources in my possession ,I have finally attack the electric crane maneuvering seaplanes.the dimensions were determined empirically, but are the only way to have a replica of the crane.
I made a "draft" or are absent most of the details, but where the shapes but dimensions are final.

Image

from left to right, the boom, boom arm, base, and arm lift
to give you an idea of ??the size of the mounted crane

Image

as usual at this stage the parties take into with the patafix, so it has a little crooked side
the same crane in the working position on the rear deck

Image

Image

and now 'slumped' in position "road"

Image

Image

outlines are there I have to add details, and it will be moulded into four parts, to allow me a last minute choice as to put in working order or not
cheers
