Sorry if bit off topic, is that what hydrodynamic forces do to the boot topping - ripping it off in half essentially along the 2/3s of the ship?! wow.

New by Brown Water Navy Miniatures on Sshapeways in Mastab 1/700 (also 1/600 and 1/1200)

Cruiser USS Wampanoag (later USS Florida)
https://www.shapeways.com/product/VU8DVFGE4/1-700-uss-wampanoag?optionId=209151630&li=marketplace

Image
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Wampanoag_(1864)

Wampanoag was completed in 1867 and was built for the war against trade. She was technically very advanced and was very fast: 18 kn. But she was also very controversial, so controversial that it is today difficult to determine if the ship was a masterpiece or a total failure. Anyway, she served, as most of her sisterships, only for a very short period. Only one ship of the class, USS Tennessee ex USS Madawaska, served longer: rebuilt as a sailing frigate with auxiliary steam propulsion, a kind of symbol for the Dark Ages of the US Navy after the Civil War.

Paper Labs has a new release kit on Shapeways of the late war RN Ca Class destroyer Caesar in 1/700 scale. There are four pieces to order, the hull, deck structures, mast/funnel/director, and weapons. Darius' previous releases on Shapeways have been very good. https://www.shapeways.com/product/R4DGF ... arketplace, https://www.shapeways.com/product/NHXFJ ... arketplace, https://www.shapeways.com/product/YYAU5 ... arketplace, https://www.shapeways.com/product/KQLF2 ... arketplace

On Shapeways, in 1/700: USCG Response Boat (Medium):

https://www.shapeways.com/product/U7FZ7 ... r-wishlist

And, also 1/700: Defender 250 boats 2x20 (1:1250). Note the title says 1:1250, but if I did this right, the link will be for 1/700:

https://www.shapeways.com/product/D43SH ... r-wishlist

And, note in 1/700 the number of boats are 16; 8 waterline, 8 full-hull.

.

A pair of models of unknown origin (and quite poor quality) of the Queen Elizabeth class carrier in 1/350th and 1/700th scale - seemingly available only on E-Bay (?????)

Please see ;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/romlo121/m.h ... 7675.l2562

Boths ships seem rather crude and not well detailed.

( The ships have been on E-Bay by other sellers at different prices. )

The '700 version looks like someone scanned the MT resin kit and printed it. I don't think Matthew will be happy about it.
