I think that what Nektarios said is true for most of us, I think. At least for me, as one striving for continued improvement, it is true.

I've got a couple more kits for your list, just for completeness sake..

CL-106 Fargo (Niko)
CA-122 Oregon City (Niko)

I'd suggest building the CA as the Rochester (CA-124), as it served the longest of the class (in CA guise, that is).

Thanks, Sebastian! I've added those to my wish list. Thanks for reviewing my One of Each Class list and collection.

At the Nationals, I picked up the following kits:

1/700 USS Independence LCS-2 - DRAGON
1/700 USS Springfield - Niko
1/700 USS Worcester - Admiralty Model Works
1/700 USS Albany - JAG
1/700 USS Kilauea - Ships & Co.
1/700 USS Vulcan AR - Loose Cannon (to be converted to the USS AJAX AR-6)

I also picked up some Tom's Modelworks PE and The Resin Shipyard items.

When you get to it Carl, would you mind telling of the quality of the Admiralty Worcester kit? I have been waiting to hear of a build-up of it. Thanks.

The USS Worcester kit was on my shopping list that I prepared weeks before leaving for the Nationals.

I am expecting absolutely no disappointments with my Admiralty Worcester kit. The in-the-box examination is very, impressive. I can't recall ever hearing or reading anything negative with Admiralty products.

I met Pavel Vacata, in person, this weekend and he seems to be nothing but confident with all of his products. I got the sense, from him, of extreme self-pride in his work and deep concern to please the customers. He loves to show off every model and accessory on his table. Jon Iverson was helping him do that at the Nationals, as well.

Pavel only brought 3 Worcester kits with him and they all sold. I told Pavel that he could mail my model to me, later, which allowed him to sell that third and last Worcester kit to someone else.

I think you will like that 1/700 USS Springfield - Niko too. I have one and I am just waiting to start after some other kits I get done first.

That's just the Dragon CGN-38 USS Virginia, if I'm reading you correctly.

Replying to Gone Asiatic's question on what's the "partially visible" ship on the far right - I don't see anything that's "partially" visible, but I'm guessing he's referring to the Virginia with the SPS-48 radar.

Yes. Timmy is right........that's the DRAGON USS Virginia. Sorry for my confusion!

The ones in the background (unstarted) are the JAG Albany and Admiralty Worcester. There's an unstarted CAP Whipple FFG and a Niko Coontz, there too.

The others are my Sumner FRAM II, Brooke FFG, and Scott DDG.

The whole harbor is still a work in progress.

Were there still Atlanta class cruisers in service (i guess that's the one far from finished with many gun-slots in the far left) while the Virginia's had Harpoon's and Tomahawks?
It looks kind of weird to me.

I'm pretty sure that's a Worcester class....an Atlanta with 6 twin 6"/47 DP AA guns
