Jose,

Nice WIP. Don't worry about the slight "grey tint" difference. As you stated, the weathering will mostly shade it.

Thank you very much Mardis!!

I thought about it so many times what should i do, what should i do? should i give the weathering a try?? i was rather disappointed by the way it looked at the end all came to what i should've done long ago. i know i can correct the color with a little precision without making a big mess, good thing is i already got the paint what i need now is some free time  hopefully by thursday i'll be able to work something out.
these better last now

Hello Jose,

Please don't worry about tones and start weathering. I am already planning to paint areas in different tones and I am pretty sure that, after weathering this will make model....better !

I also have this nice set and will follow your excellent build. Many thanks for sharing your experience on this project :thumbs_up_1:

Regards,

Serhan :wave_1:

Hi Jose:

Are the Tamiya XF-75 Kure gray as accurate as its WEM and Testors MM Acryl counterparts? And the XF-77 Sasebo as well?

I really can't help you there Bob from WEM i've only bought three different kinds of colors and those have been Sasebo, Linoleum and Tan. i haven't used Tamiya's Sasebo yet and i wouldn't want to lie to you about this one. if i had to ask a question regarding IJN colors, Dan will the right person to ask. he is the man when it comes to this.

Looks truly great, Jose.

The Tamiya Kure Grey matches its earlier mix of 2 Neutral & 1 german Grey as well as the S &S chip

hi jose, nagatos looks great , your paint job is sweet :thumbs_up_1: .one can go nuts trying to match up paint ,i have gave up trying ,i now pick a color thats close and has enough supply to do the job and go with it,i have started to paint with one color, ran out and could not get the same shade again, then tried a differant manufacture, only to have it not even be close to the same hue.
