Carl, funny thing with the deck color. I had planned on using WEM RN deck grey but for some reason it was rather green than grey. I asked around and everyone told me that it needs A LOT of thorough stirring and shaking. After a lot of time spending doing that and the shade still not changing one bit I gave up and simply used WEM's USN deck grey which I was told would also work.

ASFC, good news! I really came to like the Type 42s a lot. The idea I have in mind is that I'd like to build the last ship of every batch and later on with the Type 45s when they become available... I think a dio with all four ships should look nice. Somewhat of an... 'Evolution of RN destroyers'

John and everybody else got to tell you this. It is possible to order also just decals. I have already ordered the CVW-5 decals that come with the Trumpeter/Pitroad CVN-73 kit. Since it is not possible for Mark Tutton to produce all the decal set we need ordering Pitroad and other companies decals are the second best choice.

Thanks for the insight on the deck paint color. I, too, have heard that WEM ColourCoats require extensive mixing. I haven't tried any, yet, myself.

Thanks Nektarios! Very nice looking indeed. I think these will be the most likely to be mistaken with the Type 45s. I'm sure you will be one of the first to build a Horizon, so I'm already looking forward to that!

Yes Orb, that would look great. I'm just waiting for WEM to release their Daring Kit!

I tried to find a Horizon in Milano during my last visit in December but i didn t find any in the hobby shops i visited. But it is on my future build list as well as the Type 45.

Hmmm......... I think that my Alzheimer disease is progressing. You re right its an early to mid 80s photo.

Nope it is the IRTIAWW syndrome.

I Remember Things In A Wrong Way.

I started over on my Oriskany build, using a damaged DML kit this time instead of the Trumpy version. Going good so far, it looks like it will be much easier than before.

So whatcha gonna do with the Trumpy version?

Don't know. It's pretty much an unrecognizable hulk at the moment so it's not worth much. May end up being scrapped or recycled for spares. Or I might continue with the conversion in some capacity.

Make a Boneyard dio with it.

That has crossed my mind, but I bet that its more difficult than an active harbor dio. More than what we'd think, I'd imagine.
