Knox is quite a long list from what I understand.

What i meant was that in the mid 90s no CFA was serving in the U.S. Navy. Of course there were still active in the navies you mentioned.

I'd be too tempted to whif the model if I bought it, and yes, I mean the 1/200. I don't have that kind of money. Ever. Not worth the thought.

I agree with Nektarios and everybody else about the quality of the quality of Luckys build. I also have one under construction but it will take time before it is finished.

You know better than anyone that i m a huge teaser Yianni. I think you should post more photos of your builds. I ve seen very few people devoting so much time and attention to such levels of detail. You should take some photos of your Soviet/Russian fleet and post them.

Nektarios i am building from scratch a commercial ship when i finish with it i ll resume my workon my beloved Russian ships Then i ll take some photos and post here or i ll start another thread.

Yes, I can still do it in 1/700, and I plan to eventually. The basic principle is simply a modernization of the design, with Kashtans replacing the AK-630's. I'm not sure what else I would add to the design, perhaps fixed torpedo tubes for the use of SS-N-15 missiles, upgrade it to RBU-6000's. Find some places to install SA-N-9's?

The other idea could be to remove the Moskits, rebuild that section of the desk flat, and put in VLS for the Oniks missile instead of the Moskit, as the Oniks is due to replace the Moskit.

Just a few semi-insane ideas floating in my head.

I just took a look at your website. WOW! Very awesome model - looks absolutely flawless. Also all the close up pictures of the real ships are great and I will surely be able to use them for reference since my next ship will also be a Sovremenny.

Can I ask what color you used for the lower decks? Is it one specific shade or a mixture? It looks very nice.
