Re: 1/72 Yamato - or a steep learning curve!
I am yet to recieve motors - what should I do?
If they were surface mail, just wait. 12wks sometimes.
Thats why I get stuff locally.

Re: 1/72 Yamato - or a steep learning curve!
looks fine 2 me mate!! Everyone builds differently If it only needs 2 look good from 2feet it will be fine!! I am building USS Long Beach's super structure 2 be detailed but she must also be robust e'nuff 2 be regularly taken apart for transport. No point having a big model if you must spend all your time repairing bits that fall off!!
Keep 2 it mate! She'll be finished eventually!! ( ITS what I tell myself!! over and over!! LOL)
Cheers Bruce

Dear Herb... You are building a 1/72 scale Yamato... This does not mean that the time to build it is 72 times shorter the time it took the Japanese to build it...
Keep up the good work... You are getting there...
But perhaps it is the trip and not the destination that matters...

HAY!
Motors are in the mail at last!
I am now debating what to tackle next on the plastic front once funnel finished -I think I have just a few (cough, cough) 25mm guns to build -might knock them over in a arvo LOL

Re: 1/72 Yamato - or a steep learning curve!
THE Motors have arrived!
OK -steep learning curve and all that -time to trawl these forums -how to fit them and the shafts.
First -think I will need a soldering iron right?
Goody, more toys justified
