Yes those features shouldn't be on a 1942 CHEVALIER. If not too much trouble, removing them would get you in line with CHEVALIER in late 1942. Save the unused parts for a late-war FLETCHER and they would be excellent for that kit ... Revell may yet come out with a Square-Bridge FLETCHER. I have always thought that would be a logical move on their part.

I forgot that you have painted CHEVALIER in MS 22, that would be perfect for October 1942 through at least the middle of December 1942. There are few clear photos of CHEVALIER ... no clear photos found so far in the South Pacific ... except for these October 1942 views out of Boston Navy Yard just before she went to North Africa. (I should have posted these earlier) In late December 1942 CHEVALIER had an elevated centerline platform for a seventh 20-mm gun added before the bridge. In the South Pacific three 20-mm guns were added to the fantail.

The model is 99% finish. I need a 1/144 American flag and it will be all finished.

Took it to a local model competition last weekend and lucky to won some prizes.

That is truly stunning!

This could pass as a reference for others following on building this class of destroyer, the attention to detail and accuracy is simply stunning.

The building, detailing and painting is all of the very highest order and this model deserves to be in a museum
