I'm surprised no one has fomented that flyhawk are doing the Hood and Battlecruiser Invincible. The Invincible is a must have for me.

Its like way down the list but I agree the Invincible would be a fantastic addition if they make it in full hull, but it probably will be waterline, just like all their Battlecruisers (Moltke, Seydlitz, Kongo). Hood is probably going to be great also but as battleship in full hull, but I wont build a second one, the first one was traumatic enough!Ady wrote:I'm surprised no one has fomented that flyhawk are doing the Hood and Battlecruiser Invincible. Just to give the heads up that the full Trumpeter catalogue was released -
and 1/350 Rodney / Nelson are being still released
( although still no box artwork has been released or produced by their artist yet )

Of course they are.
Gentlemen, honestly, I don't understand the panic. Trumpeter issued just a sneak peek of the catalogue just to awaken our curiosity. Of course the 1/700s will be present in the full release, of course everything introduced in the past will be there as well...

Yes, we're looking for the 2019-2020 catalog (each page shows the years at the bottom corner).
De quoi s'agit-il?

Flyhawk has said they are doing Seydlitz too? That would be awesome!pascalemod wrote:Its like way down the list but I agree the Invincible would be a fantastic addition if they make it in full hull, but it probably will be waterline, just like all their Battlecruisers (Moltke, Seydlitz, Kongo). Same as every year, I hope this will be the year they finally release the 1/350 Baltimore. I've hoped for a long time for a new US cruiser. All we have for 1/350 plastic models are the San Francisco and Indianapolis.

As for me, I'm getting that 1941 Tashkent 1/350 as soon as it gets here.
There are two versions in that Trumpeter catalogue. 1940 Tashkent had single mount guns (3 x 1). In 1941 they were replaced with twin-gun turrets (3 x 2), as originally planned, since these weren't available yet at the time of commissioning. The 1941 version is by far the more well-known and photographed. Don't know why Trumpeter is bothering with the brief 1940 3x1 layout, maybe catering to some niche masochist fanbase?
They should rather put resources into developing a 1/350 Leningrad/Minsk class destroyer.

Wow - HMS Invincible in 1/700 plastic! And I'm sure they'll also do her slightly different sister ships.
Flyhawk and Trumpeter have really plugged some of those Royal Navy gaps recently. Now for a Lion, Tiger, Iron Duke, Royal Oak, Glorious, Furious, Sheffield and Jamaica!

Seydlitz is not there. No one (that I know of) has yet promised a 1/700 Seydlitz, there's just the already released 1/350.
I suspect Pascalemod meant to say Derfflinger? (And the Kongo mentioned is the Kajika kit?)
But.....there are 21 kits listed there. Flyhawk puts out maybe 4 or 5 new kits per year? We might still have quite a long wait for many of those!
Not complaining though.... All those new kits in one year (plus Trumpeter's) would be way to hard on the pocket!!

Maybe Flyhawk will include an Admiralty M class destroyer with the Invincible like they included a G-39 torpedo boat with the Lutzow

I meant Derflinger indeed. And Kajika is basically affiliated with FH. All of the battlecruisers were WL hulls, so I think they will deliver again WL useless half-ships and a wasted opportunity it is once again. Agree on the time horizon, Invincible in 2021 sounds about right.PaulC wrote:Seydlitz is not there. No one (that I know of) has yet promised a 1/700 Seydlitz, there's just the already released 1/350.

Hold on. Are we talking about Emden as Konigsberg, or Dresden calss cruiser?drasticplastic wrote:And the cruiser Emden, too.mikasa wrote:

Also, are we talking about scale 1/700?
Edit: Never mind. I saw on Flyhawk page SMS Dresden and Emden in 1/700, announced.

Trumpeter updates for January 2019
A nice Regia Marina ship in 1/350 scale RM Littorio, IMHO I like this more than the previous RM Roma.
Wonder where are the Rodnols and the Baltimores??
