Yup just saw that go up. I got the Montana still in my stash and the DDG Forrest Sherman so sadly I have to pass for now. I am kinda miffed that nobody took any good photos of it at Shizuoka. Even the Beaver guys skipped over in their booth walk-around. It looks like a nice kit and I am sure VF will release a Detail set.

Various Polish online stores have the first two G-H-I class RN destroyers now in stock. Around 18 dollars. Mine are on the way. Depending on the parts breakdown it may be possible to do any G-H-I from any kit.

Guys, does anybody have any info about these?

I was totally off guard by these "announcements", and the pictures seem like taken from a catalogue.

Hopes high for these to say day light.

Thanks.

Now I just reminded myself of Trumpeters 1/700 that was announced years ago, but it's still not released. :dead:

They were part of the announcements made earlier this year (I've had them on the list for a while now ;))

Any have any info on this? ;

Seems to be a boxing with both ships in there; Kinda wondering what if any differences there would be from earlier releases.

Is Trumpeter doing a Nagato? They only do a Bismarck in 1/200, that Nagato looks to be the same size:

That's quite an interesting concept......

I would be very interested if that Nagato manifests itself in a large cardboard box.

I would not hold my breath, they have stated in the past on multiple occasions that they are unwilling to do IJN subjects. (don't have the source handy.)

Also, the only Trumpeter kits of an Imperial Japanese subject (that I know of) are their 1/24 A6M2 and their 1/144 H6K5. Both are getting on in years. A Nagato would be a major change in policy.

Now, off-topic, back to the IBG Garland and Ithuriel, I now have my sticky hands on them and I'll be posting first impressions in the reviews section of the forum as soon as I can.

Yup : seems to be same size as bismarck... so probably 1/200. Doesnt seem to be a paper model...

Or were they subcontractors for 1/350 Hasegawa a few years ago ??

.

The HLJ website has a huge list of future "Foresight" ship models in a variety of scales.

https://hlj.com/search/go?p=Q&srid=S1-6 ... rid&srt=24

There are many Royal Navy ships, both WW1 and WW2, but the oddest thing is the pricing which is all over the place - MAYBE the info will be updated ?????

Thanks Pgollin. Some of those models must be Napoleonics. There is no modern HMS Victory. Assuming that all the ones at that price point are also from the age of sail you could do Trafalgar or the Nile in 1/700. Which is an interesting thought until you work out how much it will cost. I think they are probably resin rather than injected though.

That is an impressive list! The names reminds me to a list of Skytrex (both Napeoleonic and British WW2 ships) and Modelkrak (Japanese ships of the Russian Japanese War) plus some known kits from Seals Models. That would be likely resin kits. I am very curious on what they will actually release!

Hmm, Hobby Search has listed Foresight as selling some of Starling Models' resin kits in the past - I would not be surprised if these would be a similar arrangement with some other existing resin kits from other manufacturers.

Why Combrig?

If they are imported, it could be Meridian (formerly Skytrex, now Navy Models & Books) and Modelkrak. Perhaps also HP Models.
