Great thread. It almost motivates me to get down and fix up my bench so I can get some ships out. You guys have some of the nicest work areas I've seen - I'm envious. Here are two of my work areas, another one is "projected" (when I clear all the stuff off it.)

Been a while since a thread update, so I will add mine to the gallery.

Mine is L shaped, well lighted. I was lucky this workshop was just screaming at me when we bought the house last year. It isn't bad I get this room and a sometimes use of a bathroom... no just kidding in reality it is pretty sweet. Pretty awesome place to chill, all I need is one of these(I am willing to take Donations):

Not exactly as neat and orderly as some others, but it's home sweet home. A converted Dining Room in my house. The wife doesn't miss it.

As you can probably tell, I'm a multi-medium ship builder. Plastic, resin and card.

My bench needs a bit of spiffing up though. It never recovered after ARIZONA. I need to do some spring cleaning in the fall.

@Sean... That's a 1/100 scale ARIZONA. Built from paper, card and other materials. It's an increase in size from the 1/250 scale kit that it was designed.

@reigels... Ah, you spotted my gravity fed water filter. It does look like a stainless coffee urn though. It doesn't fit in the kitchen so it resides in my studio. That's ok though, I get thirsty while modeling.

Here is my version of chaos. It looks like a mess, but I know where everything is when I reach for it. Every time I clean the desk in between, during, or after a project, I can never find what I need, and within a day or 2 of working on a project, it looks like this again. This is pretty much how it always looks, with the exception that on this rare occasion, there is not a bottle of Budweiser on the bench, since I took these pics before work today.

Before ship modeling, During ship modeling and my storage. I store my styrene in gallon ziplock bags in the lowest drawer.
