That is some great, intricate detailing work, John! I love it!
We just gotta make it right, don't we?
Or as close as we can. The Iwo Jima was part of Fleet Week this year, I attempted to go to the city and go aboard. Then the wife mentioned how much it would cost me. Not meaning dollars either.
These tiny boats look really good Nektarios, good job on waterlining them (Why did DML do them full hull in the first place is a complete mystery to me!)

Arnaud,
I think they did that because their essex has a full hull option. A display stand is included in the kit.
I saw on another board that when you asked if anyone is interested in a 1/720 JFK island someone suggested that you could produce a CVN-76 island. You asked them to say if anyone is interested.
I would be interested in a 1/700 or 1/720 island with correct dimensions. Maybe if you asked more people here they would be interested too. You also mentioned a CVN-65 post 1982 island
I would be interested in that one too.
I m sure many people would be interested too.

Alright, I'm kinda stumped - I don't know what kit it comes in, as John sent it amongst a bunch of things, but I have here this European weapons set - I know because it's got what looks like a Meroka, it comes with a Goalkeeper and the Oto Melara 5" as well as the Oto Breda 3", Mk26, Sea Dart, and a number of other weapons. But, these I know, what I'm trying to identify, would be Parts 11 - Actually, the weapons fit tells me a few things it comes in - the Type 42 and the Invincible would be sources of this set. Part B-11, two of them, they Look like some kind of fire control or director radar, but I can't figure out what they are. I'm thinking of using them on the Shirane I've been modifying the hell out of, instead of the ASROC guidance radars. Information welcomed. Additionally, I wouldn't mind knowing what parts B-48, B-50 and 53/54 are.
Gladly appreciated in advance - I figured ONE of you boys might know.

B-11 is the Radar director for Sea Dart.
B-48 is unknown to me.
B-50 is the French 100 mm main gun
B-53/54 is the Limbo ASW mortar.
Hope i helped.

What diorama is it gonna be???
I'm still planning this. Since there are more 1/700 models here in our LHS, I'll give it a shot. The size is too big, not too small, unlike those MASSIVE 1/350 scale dioramas! And the best part, they're all modern US Navy ones!
Thanks for asking

Is it a harbour diorama or a carrier battlegroup underway??
